Subway

Stopped here while traveling. Sandwiches were fine. Took away a star because this location (or this county) doesn’t participate in the points program.

This subway seemed new to me, it was very clean and had a beautiful Christmas tree up for the holidays. I stopped here on my way home to Long Island from Buffalo at 10 in the morning, a little early for a sub, but I needed some fuel. I was the only one in the place and the guy working behind the counter didn’t seem to be loving his job. He has no enthusiasm and seemed bored. Even though it was early in the morning, the toppings all looked fresh and plentiful, area looked like it was kept clean. This subway is a bit smaller than others I’ve been in, had about three tables or so. I got a foot long with grilled chicken some veggies here and there and mustard. A little stingy on the veggies in my opinion. Sub came to $ 6 and change. For the most part, it tasted good but I found a lot of hard pieces in the chicken and on the outside that were impossible to chew through. In fact, I wouldn’t have been surprised if I found myself choking on a piece, that’s how hard it was. Clearly none of the fat is trimmed off of the chicken and it just becomes hardened once cooked. Eek. Next time I’ll go for the turkey.
