I’ve always loved Marie calendars but my last visit just made me love the place even more. I met Ashley who works there and she had the coolest personality. She recommended mixed drinks I’ve never tried and just made me feel welcome. The food was great but the service was amazingly great thanks Ashley I’ll definitely be back soon.

First time at this Particular Marie Callenders, and by far the best one I’ve been to! The service was so great, that I would drive to this one even though we have one right by my house! Came in around 7ish and the place looked packed, we thought that we would have to wait, but when they told us the bar was open seating we walked right in and we were able to score a cozy little booth :)(the one by my house doesn’t have a bar :/) Our servers name was Manny. He was great! He was very helpful by recommending some of his favorite entrees, he was very attentive, and took great care of us. Made sure our glasses were always refilled, and made sure we had our condiments ready before our food even came out! If you go, definitely ask for him :) Our food was delicious! I had the Burger special, $ 9.99 for a Hamburger, fries(crisped to perfection) and a Slice of pie!!! Can’t beat that! My girl friend had the Salmon, and even though I didn’t have any it looked very tasty! Overall great experience for being my first time here. I’ll definitely be back! Maybe on a Saturday for a Mail tai ;)

I’m only giving a three star review because the food was excellent. The service was slow, our server seemed overwhelmed, and it was only a Tuesday evening. I had added a pie to go, and that seemed to complicate the billing process ALOT. I finally signed my receipt and my mom and I went home. The problem was a $ 59.52 charge on my debit card the next day. I hadn’t gone anywhere else. The charge was to Verizon(there’s a Verizon store across the street from the restaurant.). I called Verizon and then my bank and went through the process of filing a claim and getting a new card. I called the manager, Jay to let him know and he seemed to be more worried about defending his restaurant and didn’t even apologize. I guess the moral is never use your card, always use cash… I just wanted to use the card so I could leave a good tip, since I only had $ 50 cash in my wallet.

The staff here is so amazing and friendly. They make you feel like family everytime you walk in the door. The food and drinks are fabulous. Being a Whittier local I love being able to come here with family and friends to grab dinner and still be able to get good drinks in a family friendly environment.

You guys, this is the BEST Marie’s Calendars around, trust me, I’m here all the time. For the lady who had a negative to go experience, I understand how that can be frustrated, but I encourage you to call the manager, Jay, on the very few occasions I’ve had a problem, I’ve talked to him and he immediately fixed it. That’s the difference, even the finest 5 star place anywhere someone will have a negative experience, the difference is the management. Here, In my experience, it has always been fixed. You know it’s a good place when even management and people who are not you waiter or waitress are checking on you and refilling your drinks just so you’re happy. Great place, great food, great customer service and where else can you get a burger, fries and pie for $ 9.99, can’t go wrong!

they have the best pot pies and the services is always good. The banana cream pie is to die for. The only problem is I always have the urge to throw it in some ones face. One of these day… You’re gonna get it!

Placed a telephone order with a VERY nice man named Alfred. He was amazing, even though we did have to verify the order at least 6 times. Got here after driving 30 minutes and still had to wait 15 minute for the order… and it’s still not ready. Totally unacceptable. Don’t know why or whose fault it is, but that’s absurd. Also, when placing my to-go order, almost every single item was different on this particular location’s menu than the regular company menu. No bread with the kid’s meal pastas. No pie slice with the meals, as stated on the company menu. Just things like that that piss me off about this location. Split pea soup is sold out. Pie selection is ridiculously limited. If you are going to run a pie sale… stock freakin pies!!! Muffins are limited to pumpkin spice and two chocolate left and ALL out of cookies. Gah, I don’t know what’s up with this place, but I hate it!

This is the first place we ate together in 2016. We were greeted immediately from employees located at the back of the counter than the front. No harm there. There was a large HDTV behind the counter tuned to the Rose Parade which I liked to watch. Since there was plenty of seats available New Year’s Day morning, she asked us if we wanted to sit in chairs or a booth. We opted for the booth. The booth was clean. The waitress handed us the menu and asked for what drinks we wanted. Since I was kind of out of it from New Year’s Eve, I asked for black coffee. We looked at the menu quickly and by the time the waitress returned with our drinks, we were ready to place our order. I ordered the Breakfast Combo Special which included two eggs, two strips of bacon, hashbrowns and cornbread. The black coffee tasted good. We then got our cornbread first which I found odd. It was not the best cornbread I had, but it did taste good and had a few pieces of corn in it. About five minutes after eating some of our cornbread, we got our entrees. After cutting a slice of the egg, I could tell that the egg was a little undercooked but not enough for me to complain about it to the waitress. It still tasted good. Ditto goes for the bacon and hashbrowns. What made me give this place four stars instead of five is asking for the check. We were trying to find a waitress or waiter, but they all were apparently in the kitchen at the same time. After we were able to find one, it took a few minutes to get it. Thank goodness it did not take long to process our payment. We got our to-go boxes. Boxed up our food. We were out the door. We still look forward to coming back.

Spanish Eggs Benedict’s! I always always get that, service could be better, the food is good, well I’m speaking based on breakfast since its the only thing I’ve had. I also recommend the salad bar, their soups and salads are good.

Wait time of 20mins. Not bad. The coffe was surprisingly great! Ordered a coffe with a spanish omelette with fries. It was great. The corn bread quality, i feel, is decreasing, maybe i got an older piece bc ive never had an issue. The management stopped by to check on us. That was nice.

Took my dad to breakfast one morning and we got cold food. They also forgot the extra egg he ordered and considering we were on a time restriction, we were not thrilled. We never came back but today, being that it is Veterans Day, I remembered last year my dad got a free pie so I went in to see if they were honoring Veterans again. The cashier said yes, however, you have to dine in. I’m all for dining in, but my father is a dialysis patient and today, he was very tired and could not make it in. I explained that Olive Garden was going to give him his free entrée for lunch and all we had to do was show his Military ID and California ID. The cashier said no, that he had to come in, so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager said the only way he could get his pie was if he came in, or ordered take out, but there would not just be a free pie. I was fine with that. I was polite and it was a shame that they had to be so hard headed. They obviously don’t know how dialysis takes a toll on people and obviously didn’t care for our business. I left, went to Olive Garden to get his meal and was greeted by smiling, kind faces who were so nice to me and even gave me 10% off of my order. We came home happy campers and will never do business with a restaurant that refuses to go above and beyond for our Veterans. My father could afford the pie btw, it’s the principle.

Came here for a late night snack with my mom. We received excellent service from Manuel. Definitely ask for him as your waiter if you want an enjoyable experience. We never had to ask for anything, he was always one step ahead. Great service!(: Maybe he should train the other servers.

I just want to say that this is one of my favorite spots to eat and feel a friendly, cozy environment along with the yummy food, and the prices are very economical to dine and also enjoy some cocktails! Noelle, Jennifer, Wednesday and Ashley are the sweetest girls and they always treat me like a queen! This makes me feel valued as a customer and keeps me coming back! This truly is my favorite Marie Callender’s restaurants around and mind you, I’ve been a customer since I can remember!

Here to have breakfast with my Momma and my young ones. My mom has diabetes and they ran out of sugar free syrup. I brought it to the attention of the manager and they went out of their way to find some(after they have her a sugar free apple pie as compensation). Momma said they had a great attitude and were very professional. Momma is happy, so I’m happy.

My wife wanted to come here on Wednesday because it was tortilla soup night. Walked in and got seated right away. Waitress was friendly and always had a smile on her face. She gave great service and was always on point. The food on the other hand not so much. To start we had the appetizer pallet. This platter had a little of everything from cheese sticks to chicken tenders. The only bad part was that things were cold. The cheese sticks did not melt at all and everything was ok. We then moved on to ordering the main course. My wife had soup and salad and to her surprise the tortilla soup was not what she expected. It looked more like a Chile. It was think and not soupy as you would expect. I had the The Works” Frisco Burger* Grilled parmesan sourdough piled high with crisp lettuce, tomato, pickles, aged American cheese, applewood smoked bacon, onion rings and Sweet Gherkin Thousand Island dressing. It was an ok burger. Nothing amazing just a regular burger with a different type of bread. I also had there lemon cheese cake. Now that was good! Would we go back? Not sure maybe but definitely try something different.

We went today to celebrate my husband’s 25th bday. Today’s food experience was a 2 start rating. We ordered the mac and cheese kids meal(for our kids), and it was cold and it seemed as tho it was microwave. The girls orange juices were watered down, had to ask for Apple juices instead. Our dinner plates were«alright». Nothing special, it tasted very bland. There was really no flavor to the food. I have been to other Maria Calendars and I always thought the food was delicious. However, in this location I was very disappointed. We didn’t complain, but we will not be going back.

Great customer service! Food is super clean and neat! Salad bars $ 7.99 drinks are extra. Salad is fresh bar and my parents are in love with their soups! I orders the salmon fillet with veggies and rice with corn bread super delish! $ 15.99 not bad of a price! Will be back for more!

This is the best Marie Calenders I’ve ever eaten at. One of the qualities is the hometown feel and fantastic customer service. Marie Calenders is famous for pies and delicious pot pies, burgers and salad bar that has all the fixings and soups that hit the spot. My favorite is the burger, fries and a slice of pie for $ 9.99 or Pot pie and slice of pie for the same price. The bar area seems to be a big hit on game nights and the bar staff seem to be very friendly. So if your into that kinda thing check it out! Check this place out if your in the mood for home cooked type food and great pie drop by and eat up!

This is strictly a Thanksgiving pie pre-order review. Quickest pie pick up ever!!! So friendly and efficient at the same time! All of the ladies on staff have got it down incredibly! Direct reflection of their management and good training I assume. I walk up to the front door and am already greeted by a smiling hostess, every person there had a job and did perfectly at each. The line moved quickly, everything was extremely simple for me as a customer and every girl there smiled and said a warming comment. Jennifer helped me get my pies and she was very nice as well. They seem like a great team! I may even consider becoming a customer for regular meals since I usually don’t dine here. But if they give exceptional service like this all the time I may just come because of that! I highly recommend ordering pies here for thanksgiving. They have the system locked down and it works smoothly. There was another girl who’s job seems to be saying goodbye to the customers and have a good day! That makes a huge difference with customer servicing. I left with a good mood because of them and I hope all those ladies enjoy their holidays even if they arrived to work so we can enjoy ours :)

My first key lime pie was from Marie Callender’s and I loved it. This is probably the only non-dark chocolate dessert I would ever order at any restaurant. The pie is really rich with the mound of cream on top but you really need that to balance the tangy taste of the key lime flavor. The crust disintegrates fast. Make sure you have one of those pie cutter or something so you don’t end up with a big glop of white, green and light brown mush on the plate. One slice is more than enough. It is so rich. That or Peter Luger’s ruined it for me. They had really good schlag to go with their pie. If and when I crave for key lime pie, I’ll probably order again from Marie Callender’s. A whole pie is around $ 15. All good. Advance happy birthday!!! Woot woot!

Met a friend here for bfast since i received an e mail promotion of free coffee and juice with purchase of any breakfast. I was surprised it wasn’t busy but so there was many booths to select from. This location opens at 700 am and were greeted by a younger waitress who started us off with beverages right away. I ordered the pancakes, eggs and sausage links. Our food arrived promptly and was piping hot. All was good and our waitress kept the coffee warm ups flowing. As time passed the customer volume really picked up probably due to the hospital which is located across the street. I really don’t think about Marie Calendar for breakfast but with this positive experience thats just changed.
