Inexpensive good drive-​through must have cash-​great little place! Lunch specials are goid

I love this place been coming for years. The prices are great and so is the food. The owners are extremely friendly and I hope to see this business around for years to come! I moved to LA so when I’m in town this is a must. It’s nice to know that quality American Chinese food still exists in the world cause it’s hard to find in LA.

This place is simply sublime. The lunch hour prices are amazingly cheap, while still providing generous portion sizes.
The food is cooked to order by a nice older fellow in the back in a large wok. The food that you get is fresh, and hot out of the wok.
I will definitely return to Egg Roll King in the future!

The egg roll was greasy, the fried rice left something to be desired, and the Szechuan Chicken, while being the first version of the dish I’ve tried around here to have any semblance of spice, was full of the cheaper vegetables like celery and onion. At the same time, I got a crapload of food for like $ 6. Plus there’s a drive through, so I didn’t have to get out of my car to get it. I don’t think anyone is expecting anything great out of Egg Roll King, but when you’re driving home and get the hankering for a dinner of rice and a medley of thinly-​sliced vegetables in a thick savory-​sweet sauce, this place fits the bill.

What was my first impression? Looked small with a drive thu, very Cute… Inside it had 5 small tables for dining in.
How was the Quality of Food? Food was very hot, fresh off the stove. The Cashew Chicken was very good, lots of vegetables and they were not over cooked. The Fried rice was good but nothing special and the egg roll had a different spice flavor that was good.
What about the valve for the Buck? For 5.05 after tax its hard to beat and my plate was heaped full.
How was the appearance and cleanliness? Seemed very clean, no trash on the floor or on any table. Saw them come out and clean a table as soon as the people left. Bathroom was also clean.
Did I receive exactly what I ordered? Yes very good.
How was the service? I first had a lady at the counter that didn’t speak very good English, but that was corrected fast when they saw I didn’t understand her. They food came in less than 5 min which was very fast since they had to cook it.
Summary and will you go back? I liked this little place and will go back when I am in the area and want a fast Chinese lunch.

Great family-​owned neighborhood pan-​Asian take-​out. We really like the mini-​spring rolls, stuffed with some form of seafood (no, I’ve never asked…) The egg rolls have a zesty five-​spice kick to them, and are always hot and crispy. The fried rice options are well-​represented, and their lunch hot-​table 1 or 2 entrée meals are a great deal, with choice of white or fried rice, egg roll or two crab rangoon, and fortune cookie. I consider ERK a great neighborhood secret.
Limited indoor seating, although they have expanded the building to add a few tables. It’s mostly drive-​through/​carry-​out.
