Within 5 – 10 minute of our first visit. D. Yusafaly accused me of Doctor shopping because I saw another neurologist a year prior. He accused me of lying about the fact that I have NOT had a single seizure in one year. He told me «who do you think you are…» He could hardly contain his distain. I went and had the eeg he ordered. He saw me, and again, his distain was palpable. He had his office girl call me and tell me to begin a prescription for Keppra immediately, as I had left temporal sharp waves. Without discussion, nor choices. Despite the fact that I was on Keppra for 8 months before. Not only did it not help my seizures at the time, It made them worse. Along with a suicidal and agitated state caused by it. He knew I had propensity for depression, he knew I had zero prescription coverage. Keppra-$ 400.00+ a Month? No choices, no discussion? «Who do I think I am»? Taking Keppra or any other seizure meds is no easy choice, as I had horrible effects, and no help from it. It seems crazy to risk life threatening side effects when I have not had a seizure in a year. He doesn’t care. He dismissed me promptly because I asked to be a part of my own care, and to ask questions. I won’t be back. How can I trust this doctor? He treated me as less than human, and yes I am mad. Won’t even do any good to call and try to discuss it, hence I write here. He acted as if I was just a patient who«chooses» to not comply. How dare me. It is with good reasons I have questions. So now that he has stated that I am a Doctor shopper, any further help I see, I will have to overcome that as well. I was so upset after he talked to me in such a demeaning way, I could not even talk about the important issues of my health, was left simply trying to defend my credibility. Very poor treatment. Not conducive in any way. I read 2 other reviews stating basically the same thing as I, so no, I am not coming out of left field. «Who does he think he is» to treat a patient in such an immediately bad way. He felt he knew more about me in 10 minutes, than I know about my own experiences. my REAL concerns were of no concern to him.

The rudest and most incompetent Doctor I have met. He was not understanding at all, did not offer assistance at all. Basically he said that because I wanted suggestions on PT that could be done at home, he said there was no use. He needs to understand that families of brain injured patients will do what ever it takes to help their family member.

I can honestly say that I haven’t had such a pleasant experience with a physician or his office staff in a LOOOOOOONG time. From the very beginning Dr. Yusafaly’s staff was very helpful. My referral documents had some errors on it and without correction, I wouldn’t have been seen. Martha, an employee at Dr. Yusafaly’s office, made all the necessary phone calls for me and made sure that I would have no issues. That was a big burden lifted off of me and I really appreciated that. As for the doctor, he is the most pleasant doctor I’ve seen since I had Pediatric doctors. He was jovial and funny, but yet still proficient and very informative. He’s pays a good amount of attention to detail and is very thorough. Wonderful experience from beginning to end. This dispels the myth that all specialty doctors are difficult to deal with.

Laziest doctor I’ve ever encountered! Not joking, he didn’t want check history or anything! I had papers but he did not want to look or do tests. Worst doctor I have Ever meet! Better bums that can do his job. He was a big waste of time. I have epilepsy and he said I was a liar, he didn’t want to check history or get medical records. I don’t know how these people get to be doctors, he should work at McDonalds!, I just want help with seizures!
