Friendly and helpful staff. Didn’t try food since we were going to the Pub for dinner, but based on Pub’s food would expect the same in the bottle shop. Not the biggest beer shop you’ll come across, but worth a stop if nearby.

We came in here while waiting for our reservation at blue talon, and it was like a candy store for a beer lover. The place was pretty empty for a saturday night around 8:30. The hour we had to wait didn’t seem so long when there were so many bottles to browse through. I thought the bottle chiller was pretty cool. We both decided to get dark beers on draft though. I think I got a stout and my boyfriend got the some sort of «turkish» porter. Both were deep and delicious. I loved the hints of cardamom in my boyfriend’s beer. This place also has awesome knick knacks and gift ideas for the beer/​alcohol lover. I definitely want to come back for one of the beer tastings!

Really cool little beer and apps shop near the heart of Colonial Williamsburg — all the good without the hassle of standing in a crowded bar. You can buy various beers to take home, or enjoy them there while sampling their food, which is exactly what we did.
The service from the bartender/​waiter was extremely good — he was helpful and engaging. We enjoyed the barley wine on draft, among other beers, and got a few apps from the restaurant. The only negative I can think of is that if you order a non-​draft beer and drink in there, they charge you an uncorking fee. That seems a little silly — but it’s pretty low, plus the chill it for you. Who doesn’t like that?
The created a cool spot to kill a couple of hours — great addition to the Merchant’s Square scene.

Long haired Michael with glasses is the bomb! He’s great with everyone and always remembers his customers! And he has a lot of knowledge on everything in the bottle shop! He’s the reason my entire family loves this place and the reason we continue to keep on coming! And the beer!

Excellent selection of beer. Try the beer flight for $ 14. My favorite was the Alllewerk session IPA. They have beer from all over the world. Check it out.

I love this place! First off I love craft beers and love trying new ones. This place has a great selection but one of my favorite things is they are always bringing in new ones for people to try. They also are constantly hosting tastings which is a fun way to discover different breweries. Second the staff is excellent! They are always willing to talk with you and help you pick beer you will enjoy. I have never had a bad experience here!
If you enjoy beer and enjoy talking to people who know beer, you should definitely check this place out! Select a personal six pack to take home and enjoy!

Great little beer shop just off DOG street located of a side entrance next to DOG Street Pub. Loads of beer by the bottle, fill a growler too! They have beer tastings scheduled as well as a little freezer and cooler case of local foods.
Can’t wait to hit a tasting here!

Had a nice time here sampling the local beer on draft. They had a fine selection of bottled beer, which you could have chilled to drink on site or take home. Staff was friendly

This is an awesome shop with an INCREDIBLE selection of beer from all over the world. You can also drink in the store, and bring your pup in too! I’d already had my fill at the pub next door, but got a few unique bottles from them as well as some craft cocktail fixins. The shopkeeper was incredibly helpful and friendly as well. If I knew they had bar bites in here, I probably would have skipped the sister pub next door — this is more my style.
I hope this place does well, because right now it’s serving as inspiration for my retirement dream. :)

What you expect in a pub and much more. Great craft draft and bottled local brew. The prices are perfect for what you get and the fried cod fish nuggets was fresh and affordable at $ 6 it was better than expected.

This bottle shop was NEEDED in Merchant Square! Excellent selection of bottled beer, drafts, snacks and more. We went on a Friday evening and they had a free beer tasting going on, which was great. I love trying new beers! We even purchased a couple stems and watched the NHL playoffs. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable as well!

Went by this place to pick up a few beers tonight and it was in full swing. There is a large selection of craft beers and it looks like there will be a huge selection of excellent beers rolling through this shop in the future. The staff was extremely helpful and the shop is a classy place that fits in nicely here in CW. Not only do they have a great selection of bottles, but they also have several taps and will do growler fills. If you like fussing over good beer, check it out!
