Sinner Or Saint Speakeasy

Disclaimer: though I’m posting this review now, our check in/​experience was from May 2015, shortly after they opened. That being said, we haven’t been back since, so…
It was empty when we were there and we ate at the bar. The beer selection was ok and there was a full bar. The bartender was efficient.
The food was where we were disappointed. I had a noodle bowl (I forget the name of it) and it was very bland and tasteless. My husband had a burger and was underwhelmed. Nothing terrible, but, just as 2 stars states «Meh, I’ve experienced better».

Our first experience with this restaurant was average at best. The atmosphere is nice with good lighting and color considering it was a college dive bar before. My girlfriend ordered the budda bowl or something? Not exactly sure what it was but it came out cold and smelled like spoiled fish. We returned it. The service was atrocious. Our server was very incompetent and never even refilled our water over a period of 45 minutes! Finally had to go to the bartender to get refills. I ordered the shrimp tacos which were very bland and the shrimp were tiny. The tacos were edible but they were comparable to fast food.
2 weeks later, we gave it another shot. No difference. The server looked like she was stoned and forgot our drinks. After about 20 minutes, I flagged down another waitress. She apologized and took over our table. After another 45 minutes, my burger arrives. I ordered it medium and it came out burned to a crisp. I mean this thing was like a hockey puck. But I was starving and didn’t wanna wait another 45 minutes so I chocked it down. Not exactly a pleasant experience but I’m willing to give the place a 3^rd try someday.

We are driving from Maryland to Buffalo NY, and found this on google maps due to proximity to US-​15, without direct downtown traffic.
I called to check if it was kid friendly (traveling with my 2.5year old), and the woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. (Yes they are kid friendly)
Driving there, we were a bit apprehensive as its in an industrial park– but the small building is charming and it was decorated tactfully with holiday lights.
Stepping inside, we were happy with our choice of venues, as it was very warm, welcoming, and clean.
They had a great selection of craft beers, a good variety of foods on the menu (but not overwhelming), and they had a kids menu.
We had the Center Burger, the Chicken BLT, and the kids hotdog. My husband and I both LOVED our food– the basil aioli was so good and my husband is still talking about the burger an hour later.
All of the food was very fresh– rolls, lettuce, and even the grapes with the kids meal tasted fresh.
The server was so friendly and helpful, bringing over coloring books/​crayons for our little guy and she made a kids cup for us out of a coffee to-​go cup.
We had a great experience and will be putting this on our list of stops whenever we travel this route.

Sinner or Saint has fantastic food. Provides great service. They have reasonable prices and a wonderful atmosphere!

Great service, great food, very nice atmosphere! Had the WTF Burger. Very good. Homemade roll, real homemade burger. Nice size. You could easily bring a group of friends here. Not too loud, you can actually carry on a conversation. Very pleasant server. We will definitely be back.

This might be one of my new favorite spots. The atmosphere is lovely and comfortable. Great food selection, carefully prepared. Food was above average and fairly priced, I feel good knowing local fare is used and it shows in the quality. The cocktails are creative and delicious. The wait staff friendly and attentive. We will likely check out quizzo next Monday! This place is Definitely worth a try.

Based on first impressions, service was a little disorganized, and we were the only ones in the restaurant over the lunch hour. We asked about cocktails, but were told the girl who could make them would be back in a bit. She eventually did come back, and I had a gimlet, which was excellent. We shared a cheese board, which was nice, and I had the veggie burger, which was nothing out of the ordinary, but still good. I may want to give them another chance now that they’ve had time to get rolling, but I wasn’t blown away. There’s so much more they could do with the speakeasy theme.

Went with high hopes based on prior reviews and comments made. The good: it’s something new to try in town. The Sinner burger is one of the better burgers in town (using quality meat). The average: Menu has many of the same offerings you can find elsewhere. The bad: the night we went there was no bartender on staff, it’s been open for about 5 months and they still need to figure something’s out, music, staffing etc.
Conclusion: good to have a new place around to try, but I’m not adding it to my regular places. Has potential, and may try again down the road.

Stopped in tonight to check it out. I’ve had their food from the food truck and was so happy to see they opened up a restaurant! We started with the fried cauliflower with chipotle dipping sauce and it was super yummy and not too greasy. My Sinner burger was wonderful. I’ve been searching for a place with a good burger since moving to Williamsport and I’m happy to say I finally found it! Can’t wait to go back and try the other burgers and food choices. My boyfriend got the Reuben and said it was really good. We also loved the large selection of beer available and how attentive our server was.

Finally, a new unique great place to eat in Williamsport! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. This is my second visit and I’ll be a «regular» now. The wine pours were a little light but everything else was off the hook!

The service and atmosphere were top notch. This is some of the best food I’ve had in Williamsport and I’ll be sure to be back to eat my way through the menu!
The clams were an exceptional size, larger than most restaurants’ clams from my experience. I’ve had the deviled eggs twice and I think I can say they’ll be my go to starter plate every time I’m here.

We made reservations for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. When we arrived, it didn’t seem too busy, so we may have been seated just as quickly without reservations. The waitress was pleasant and prompt. She was not only our waitress, but made our drinks as well. Everything was quick and the drinks were spot on. She then took our orders and was very helpful to guests who were on the fence about what they wanted to order.
We were all satisfied with our meals. We had calamari and friend peppers for an appetizer. I had a steak salad which was exactly as I’d expect. The house made ranch dressing was excellent. My girlfriend got steak tacos (which I had a bite of) and they were delicious as well. The only other options of food were burgers and appetizers. Everything we saw or had a bite of seemed fine. The atmosphere was calm and casual. I would say it was an average experience. Nothing super fantastic to note, and nothing awful either. I would go back to this restaurant and would recommend others try it out as well.

The food here was really great! And the prices were low. My son said that was one of the best barbecue burgers he’s ever had. I tried some of it, and I agree. Someone else in our party had a quesadilla and loved it. Chicken Parmesan sandwich was fabulous also. My wife had a salad and she thought it was great too. There is a full bar here as well for anyone who wants to imbibe. Parking is not a problem, plenty of spaces.

Not good. Second time I went in with an older client and they were blasting inappropriate dining music… rap music with the lyrics «mother fucker» throughout. Also, the food took forever even though we were the only ones in the place and veggies were rotten.
