Good food. Had a tuna melt & they delivered it perfectly cooked. No flare but that’s ok as it was fast, not too crowded & good service.

I guess it’s hit or miss at Orem’s. My last visit was on a Sunday at 10:45AM which I am guessing is their busiest time of the week. The food was only OK and still overpriced but what really irked me was that the owner came by as if to see if my guest and I were still at the table(like he couldn’t have seen that from 50 feet away) — the hidden message was that we were taking too long. Then the waitress was far more blunt about it letting us know that there was a line for tables. I am thrilled that they have built a successful business on a foundation of average food and service but I didn’t come to be rushed. This will be my last visit for a very long time.

Went there late Thursday night. Quick service, and extremely clean. I was so impressed!!! I had the Italian omelette it was so perfect and the potatoes were cooked just enough. Would definitely come back !

As always, this local favorite delivers exactly what you want in a Greek diner. The wait staff is efficient and friendly, plus there’s plenty of parking to accommodate the number of tables inside. My favorite order is a short stack of chocolate chip pancakes with a side of French fries.(Yes, I am a grown woman and I feel no shame in this meal choice.) Worth the stop if you want some quick food!

Don’t go here alone. They will treat you like a second class citizen. Food is so so service horrendous. They just don’t care about the party of one. Your just taking up space to them.

Orem’s in an institution in Wilton. Blue collar breakfasts early, local business meetings later, families and teams on the week-ends, everyone goes to Orem’s. As with most diners, I think breakfast is their best meal. I guess I need to be honest in my ranking, though. I’d say their food is average good diner food. But you should still go. After all, it’s Orem’s.

We came here for dinner at the end of a roadtrip. Two kids and two adults(the adults were excited to get into a proper NE diner… they just don’t do them right anywhere else). The service was very friendly from the moment we walked in, and we got seated and started looking through the menu. As was to be expected, they have a huge menu, exactly the kind of diner menu you miss when you move out of the NE. We ordered: Gyro platter, lasagna, and a pastrami sandwich. The lasagna came with soup and the gyro platter came with a pretty large salad. We were all starving, and one kid was pretty grumpy, but we dug in. The gyro was(unfortunately) the pre-formed ‘slices’…which made me sad. And it came on a bed of rice and tomatoes, with a side of flat bread. I put together some sandwiches and then ate the rice/tomatoes that were left over. The lasagna was okay. A very large portion, but the sauce seemed a bit off. Not like ‘off’ as in it had gone bad, but it just didn’t seem like good sauce. I liked it when I was hungry, but when I had some that was leftover, I was less impressed. So I’d probably avoid that one. The sandwich looked great, and I’d give that a try. We came in and had a good meal, that was a good value, with very friendly customer service. Next time I’m coming for breakfast, as thats the meal that these places tend to really do well with.

We came in an hour before they closed, and the host said«You have to order quickly because we close soon.» Customer service was abysmal, food was awful and dry. Pretty much one of the worst diner experiences. I would not recommend Orem’s to anyone, and I will never be going again. I’m guessing the only reason why it’s still open is because it’s on a main road, but to be honest there are much better diners in Stamford if you can get over there.

I’m a regular here for breakfast with my family on weekends. It tends to get busy between 9−11am. Love the owners as they’re very friendly. The food is good with healthy portions. The reason for 4 stars is because there are few wait staff that are not as good as they should be in family environment.

Normally I would probably give this place a 4 out of 5. But, at my most resent visit to Orem’s, I ordered a Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. It was pretty packed that day so it took them about 30 minutes to bring us our food, and after the waiter left. I took a bite out of my sandwich and I saw a hair in it. They were nice about it and gave me a new one and took it off the bill, but still, thats pretty disgusting.

Orem’s is a staple of Wilton. I’ve been going here since I was a kid, so it has my heart. The food is very good, but there have definitely been a few times where I was disappointed. I guess it varies depending on what you get, but most times, I have been satisfied. I’m not the biggest breakfast person, but they make a killer breakfast. Their pancakes are outstanding — my favorite are the banana chocolate chip. For lunch, I highly recommend the reuben. I get it most times I go. They also make an incredible cobb salad. The diner itself is spacious and very clean, and the service is fast.

Orem’s Diner is a Wilton Landmark! It’s my favorite place to go when I am in town. Not only is the food affordable, but it is tasty too! My favorite is the Combo #2 omelette for Breakfast. I always ask for well done home fries with it. If you’re getting pancakes or French toast, they have real Maple syrup too! Just ask for it. The portions are huge, so come hungry. If you want a fast, affordable meal in Wilton, go to Orem’s! PS people claiming food poisoning don’t know what that is, so ignore those reviewers. Food poisoning happens instantly, not hours after your visit. They probably had to take a massive dump or something. End rant.

We came here before heading out on a road trip. The service was great. Our coffee cups were never empty and the bacon egg and cheese sandwich was the perfect bite. Reasonably priced as well.

I’ve been here a handful of times over the past decade. It’s decent diner food, but nothing special. I was irritated by the service tonight, however: There were plenty of tables and no line, yet our server was in a huge hurry to get us to just eat, pay and leave. He was very pushy and obnoxious, coming over and talking right over us and taking plates away from us while we were still eating. I have no idea what the Hell his big hurry was, he wasn’t going anywhere… We showed up at the very start of the dinner hour and were his first table of the evening. Everyone ordered drinks, which would increase his tip – in theory. However, he was in such a hurry to get us out of there, we decided not to continue to imbibe there, and then, we undertipped him because of his rude service. Also, PLEASE, don’t assume people don’t speak any language other than English just because I’m white and eating in Wilton, CT! You offend me more by your erroneous assumption than by the smack you had to talk about our group. Thank you! No need to return.

After running around after work and sports I sometimes don’t have the energy to cook. I look at my boys and say«let’s go to our spot» and my son and husband know I am talking about Orem’s. The food always taste great and the staff is so friendly.

An OK Diner… nothing special by any means. Just solid, filling diner food in a setting that you have seen countless times before in diners across the U.S.A.(quick note, the orginal Orem‘s décor actually had some CHARACTER, this one does not) For me, this a good place to enjoy a hearty breakfast on Saturday or Sunday. Or, if my schedule can permit it, maybe a breakfast during a weekday. Other than that, I would not go here for lunch or dinner. I mean, why would anyone do so when those meals could be taken care of by so many other better dining establishments for the same price. Or cook their basic grub in your own kitchen. I don‘t need a Diner to cook me a mediocre burger and charge me plenty of $. That is something that I will happily cook on my own.

I was taken here last night by a local and thought it was quite good. I had the spanakopita platter that comes with a nice Greek salad and had to bring half of the spanakopita home it was such a big portion. And very yummy. My two dining companions had some huge breakfast combos. The one thing I can say that didn’t look really good was the underdone bacon they had to send back. But that was done without complaint. The only other thing I can complain about was the wine prices for mediocre wine. But that’s what I get for needing glass of wine in a diner. I look forward to going back and trying more of their Greek options in particular. Service was quick and the place was very lively on a Friday evening. Everyone was looking happy with their food.

I was apprehensive eating here. I was reading several reviews on people developing food poisoning after ordering burgers and gyros. So the safe bet was eggs, bacon, sweet potato fries and curly fries. The eggs were ok it did not taste old, sweet potato fries could’ve been hotter and crispier, curly fries were fine, but the bacon was aged, stale, cooked to death and was reheated plenty of times to revive leftovers to serve to the customers. It’s a diner I didn’t expect much. I was hungry after work and I’m glad I did not get sick:) Our waitress was very sweet.

No stars! Just had the grossest breakfast ever. Ordered some pancakes and corned beef hash and just as I was getting ready to eat the hash, moved the plate closer and there was hair stuck to the plate. Needless to say, we lost our appetites and we are never going back. We pointed it out the server and all we heard was«ohh…» and I told her to not put it on the bill. She told the owner and he didn’t even apologize. Very disappointing! TL;DR: Only eat here if you like your food to come with a garnish of pubic hair.
