Wonderful food and customer service… it doesn’t get better than this! Love the fajitas and chicken salad stuffed avocados… don’t skip the grilled veggies, they are awesome.

Man, I’m a sucker for warm food on a cold day and happy hour. And previous reviews set my expectations low and my experience far exceeded them. So this ones getting four stars. Warm food. We ordered the stuffed jalapeño app which was a huge portion that my garbage disposal hubby couldn’t finish and tortilla soup. Very good. The soup could have been a little more chicken and a little less tortilla. Happy hour. From 4 – 7 and we both got classic margaritas for $ 3.50. I recommend the frozen– which is what we got-as the glass is a little small and on the rocks might go real quick. Other reviews. Some mentioned slow service-we were seated right away on a Monday night. Some mentioned the wrong order coming out, we were served exactly what we ordered. Our server, Jacob, was very kind and attentive. One note. The chips were tasty but I have a feeling they were heated up store bought chips. I’m not bothered by it, but the über classy might be. I’d recommend it.

One word sums this place up — awful. Ordered the Chile Relleno and got a huge sloppy mound of greasy melted cheese with a chile the size of a small jalapeño. Tasted awful. Beans out of a can, nasty, metallic tasting rice. My mom ordered the enchiladas which turned out to be The Hill Country’s version of soylent green. Nasty and greasy. Their only redeeming quality was the guacamole and salsa. Both excellent. Service was excellent to be fair. Will not return. One star for the guac.

We live in Boerne and have passed by here so many times going to, and returning from, sporting events. Today was the first opportunity we had to stop in and eat. The food and service were both excellent! We’ll be back!

Stopped in for lunch on our way through and wish we would have just kept driving. Service was friendly — no way to be friendly enough to offset the mediocre food. Lunch specials were large in portion but the rice was tasteless and the beans even worse. We will certainly not be returning to experience mediocre Mexican with so many other options in the area.

Well it is an amazing place for an outside patio, it has a beautiful hillside view and a friendly staff. The owners are almost always there, from what I hear… and saw them towards the end conversating with guests. The queso is a 2.5 out of 5, and I am a queso nut, the chips are 5 or 5 oh my goodness ! We had the fajitas and they were pretty good the beef was very good quality. If you like spicy food though not the best place, we tried there spiciest salsa and it had a little flavor but definitely not much spice. Good atmosphere though. I would recommend checking it out. ! Enjoy

Wow. Probably the worst food I’ve ever eaten. Customer service is just as bad. I asked for a bag of rice to put my wet phone in and they didn’t have any. Sat at the table for 15 – 20 minutes before being placing a drink order. What kind of Mexican food restaurant doesn’t have rice?

Great food. Quaint restaurant. Well worth getting off the beaten path of chain restaurants to check this one out.

Very friendly staff. The chips and salsa were delicious. The green salsa had a really great taste. I just spotted this place from the highway and stopped in for lunch. I got the blue cheese fajita quesadilla. Foolish of me to think I could finish it alone. It was HUGE! If you like blue cheese, you’ll love this. Stuffed full of beef fajitas, grilled sweet onions, and cheese. loads and loads of cheese. I really enjoyed it. I wish I could have eaten all of it. Lord knows I tried. The food came out fast and hot. I loved this place. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area again. My only concern was the ceiling in the dining room. It was really dirty with old peeling insulation. I was a little nervous about it peeling into the food. But other than that, I consider this place to be a find. :-)

My husband and I love tex-mex, so we tried Milagro’s the first night of our vacation. I was a little worried because of some of the reviews on here, but it was close by to where we were staying and the menu items sounded good. It ended up being awesome and we ate there again the last night of our vacation. The queso was soo good and my husband really liked the steak chimichanga. I got the avocado enchiladas the first night, which weren’t that great, but on our second trip I had a burrito that really hit the spot. This would definitely be a favorite restaurant of ours if we lived in the area.

My group of friends randomly walked into Milagro’s because it was just around the corner from the house we rented for the weekend and we all absolutely loved it! The service was quick, friendly and fantastic, the drinks were all delicious and brought to us quickly, and the food was absolutely wonderful. Everything from the queso and guac we started with to the shrimp enchiladas I had were great. Definitely worth stopping in!

I live in Wimberley. My family and I have eaten here many times over the years since this place opened. We’ve had date nights, graduations, anniversaries and birthdays here, entertained out-of-town guests here, and had plain old, «Let’s go out to eat» times here. It was never great Tex-Mex, but it was good enough and close to home, and the patio was nice. However, we just got back from a lunch that was far from good enough. I ordered the Margarita Pollo, which I’ve ordered many times before and enjoyed. I will say that I was served a large piece of chicken, but it was so tough and rubbery that this was not a plus — just more to try to get through. My mother was visiting from out of town and buying us lunch, so I didn’t want to complain, but I’ve never been served such a rubbery piece of seemingly-grilled chicken in my life. It was only about a quarter inch thick, but it was so rubbery that it took major sawing to cut it with the serrated steak knife that they provided with it. A thin, pounded chicken breast is not supposed to be that hard to cut. The breast was served with sauteed peppers and onions, and some of the peppers tasted rotten — like they had probably been soft and slimy before they had been thrown in the pan for my meal. One of my sides was Texas Stir Fry, which consisted of stir-fried squash and corn, and it tasted like a wet dog smells. My other side was pan fried potatoes, and they were only fried on the very outside layer — the inside was hard and raw. A wholly unacceptable meal at any price. My daughter ordered cheese quesadillas, and was served chicken ones instead. A couple of tortillas with some cheese in between them is a hard thing to screw up, but they managed by putting what she said was equally tough and dry chicken to what I had in there too. As a waitperson, you know that you’ve served a growing adolescent a crappy meal when he or she eats about three bites and then refuses your offer of a doggy bag when you come to clear the table — but no one showed the slightest concern for what any of us thought of our food. My mom and husband both ordered avocado enchiladas. She didn’t complain, but he told me later that they were not good at all. I gave them one more star than the minimum because the chips were good, and because we have gotten decent(not great) meals here before, but really — one more chance. If it’s not drastically better, then we’ll just drive right by this place in the future on the way to San Marcos for Tex-Mex. Or we’ll try to learn to like the restaurant that opened where Juan Henry’s used to be at the business end of River Rd. Or we’ll just eat Ino’z Tex-Mex, which is way better than what we got at Milagro’s today(though that’s not saying much).

Absolutely horrible food… I got the pork tacos, tasted like microwaved meat that was 2 days old, ew. The rest of the gang wasn’t impressed with theirs either, quesadillas and beef enchiladas. Service was pretty lackadaisical. I would not recommend this place for anything other than the margaritas.

Very impressed! I thought the food was great! My husband was happy that i finally didnt complain about restaurant food. They really fill up your plate with goodies. My husband ordered the gumbo soup(tad salty, i have to be honest) but delicious. we shared the fried shrimp. nice and jumbo sized served with fries and a good coleslaw.(a little pricey for the shrimp though) I ordered the blue cheese quesadilla. OMG was so delicious and packed with tender meat. i only ordered half order but still so big! the only thing was, they added to much blue cheese which made it salty. but oh so good! Staff was Awesome! i was so happy that if your sitting outside you can bring your pet! that was great!!! All & All the food was great!

Terrible food — if you hail from a city that has good Tex Mex, or have standards for the way your food is prepared and seasoned, Milagro’s will make you want to weep into your meal. Aside from the authenticity or lack thereof, the food was just bad in quality. My family and I stopped here because it happened to be the only restaurant in the area, and while the salsa and queso were decent, once our food arrived it all went downhill. The chicken for the fajitas was sour, overcooked, and rubbery, the tortilla soup was over-loaded with tortilla strips perhaps to provide the illusion of flavor, the fish tacos were downright foul tasting, and the margarita chicken was incredibly bland. We couldn’t even turn to our rice for solace, since it was dry and broken up like it had been over-stirred and left under a heat lamp for too long. So much NO!

Horrible. The only reason they are in business still is because there are no other options for miles. Chips were cold, bean and cheese taco, for the 8 year old girl I was with, was cold. She only ate a couple of bites. I ordered the avocado enchiladas bc they had avocado items listed all over their menu, so I thought they must have good avocado at least. Wrong. They were sour tasting. Rice and beans sucked too. The best thing was the salsa and not even good chips to go with that.

Food was wonderful. We got the avocado fries, stuffed avocado and avocado enchiladas. Strawberry margarita was delicious. Fried ice cream looked like it was covered in corn flakes and fried but it was good. Con — Service was non existent. Waiter was not welcoming, never said his name, never smiled, was not knowledgeable about food when we asked questions. We would return but would want another waiter. This was 5÷3÷15 at 6:30pm.

Terrible canned food. Order was wrong which is fine, but the food was salty and tasted like canned chili. I am not kidding but Taco Bell is better. The one star is for having Tequila in the margarita. the setting and outside seating is very nice as well.

Delightful place. Caleb took excellent care of our group of seven women. Advice was great, memory for orders letter perfect. Only caveat… lease get a bottle of olive oil and one of balsamic for salads. Truly the dressings disgusting for those of us weaned off these.

So good! Classic hill country tex mex. Came for the pizza next door but was swayed over to the tex mex side after seeing the ambiance of their patio. Cute spot to spot if in the area. I’m from Austin and this ranks up there with some of my fave spots. Good frozen margaritas… doesn’t taste like cheap mix. Salsa is always a good indicator of the meal to come. Spot on with salsa, loved the creamy green salsa, and the queso is awesome. Got enchiladas with the creamy verde and it was a home run. Uhg why is this far away craving it now!
