I took my 16 year old daughter here to get her already short hair shaped up. we were walk ins and we had a quick consult with a young lady who seemed to get immediately what my daughter wanted. she stepped away then came back and said she didn’t realize what time it was and was off for the day. She wanted me to make an appointment and come back later in the week. I was only in town for the day and my daughter had no way to get there without me so I said I was sorry and we’d have to try another time. Then she said that she would get someone else there who was «just as good «. So we stayed. A young man started to cut my daughter’s hair and an hour later we were still there and he was still cutting and it looked awful and choppy. My daughter was visibly upset so I asked him to give us a moment and asked her if she wanted to leave. I assured her we’d get it fixed. The mananager came over and asked us what the problem was and I told her and she offered to have a senior stylist finish it. We agreed and it took ANOTHER hour for the stylist to finish. As I was waiting and pacing I looked at the licenses posted on the wall and the guy didn’t even have a full license… It was provisional so he was still in training. so ‘just as good’ was not really accurate. So two hours later my daughter’s hair was maybe an inch shorter and didn’t look any better than we showed up. Never again.

I heard great things about this salon, so I thought I would try it out. Well, 2 weeks ago I made an appointment to get a natural blowout with Ebony for today, Feb 28^th. Imagine my surprise when I called the salon to see if I could come in a little early, and was told that she has today off… When I made my appointment, she assured me that she would call me if anything changed. Not a great first impression…

Located in Hanes Mall NuEvo has same hours as mall. And how many salons do you know of that are open on Sundays?!
So happy I found this place. And with the care and gentleness exhibited by owner Ebany.
Should I return to the Winston-​salem area, this is my go-​to spot for hair care.
