Good daily happy hour specials. Like sashimi, excellent portions. Could make new rolls, make it more interesting. Good for the location.

Sushi really was excellent — certainly better than the average. Sashimi was served very cold, very fresh. Fresh greens-salad with ahi was great as well. Service was… puzzling. For a nicely decorated restaurant with excellent food, the waiter was out of place; would have been better fit at a sandwich shop(teenager with uncombed hair, says dude and ‘you guys’ a lot). Forgot a number of things… Bottom line, it was a late lunch in a small place, so he could have been a pinch hitter. Also, it wasn’t a night-out, so as long as the sushi hit the table and the water got refilled… All is well. All in all, an excellent meal.

Service has been much better past couple times I have been. Love to take advantage of the 3−7pm happy hour specials on sushi and select appetizers. Great deals. Sushi continues to be great along with the ginger salad and miso soup. Had to update cause my original review sounded so angry!

I have tried to go there for lunch on three separate occasions(between 1100 – 1200). Each time they were closed. The sign with there hours indicated they were open at 11 but doors were locked. On one occasion, there was someone inside, presumably an employee. I knocked on the door and they walked right past the door and didn’t even acknowledge me. If this is an indication of their customer service, then three strikes your out. I will not go back for a fourth.

Tried the sushi and loved it! I can’t remember which ones we tried, but there were 3 different rolls and all of them were yummy! The one w/the mango was the best. The Autumn Jersey was not that great, but worth trying.

Always consistent great Sushi. Great promos on Mondays and Wednesdays. The sushi sandwich, Dave roll, spicy yellowtail all rock. Order a side of honey wasabi for a great new flavor to your roll.

I wouldn’t say the worse sushi but def not world class. I tried tonight based on Unilocal reviews & we enjoyed the fast service & friendly staff. But for $ 12.50 a roll I want more fish than cucumber or asparagus. I liked the variety & the mix of sauces & fruit toppers but they r very skimpy on the amount of fish they use. The salad & Ginger dressing is wonderful. The miso was NOT watered down, that was great too. But will I come back? … Not unless it’s $ 3.75 Monday’s for the cheap rolls only or Thursday $ 6.00 for the special rolls.

What they said was true… not much on the outside but good food on the inside. We were very surprised at how good the sushi was here. They even had Albacore, which a lot of sushi places around town don’t have. The service was good and the food was prepared in a timely manner. The only downfall they had was their menus. The pages were spotted with food and spills from drinks. They should fix that. No one wants to read a menu that has«stuff» all over it. Yuck. And, I ordered their house Merlot. it was good… but served cold!!! They should know that a Merlot is served at room temperature. Not straight out of the fridge. Bad! Bad! Bad! Other than that… I think we will definitely come here again. It was good and close to home:-)

Used to be a nice place to go. In the past few months, it has really gone down hill! Service is horrible, staff is rude and they are always out of something. Each visit they get something wrong, either the food or the check. Save the frustration and go somewhere else!

Osaka Sushi in Winter Springs is a nice little place in my back yard that I’ll visit from time to time. The layout is modern, clean and comfortable. You won’t get large crowds as the seating is probably for 30 people tops. I went with the Sunset Blvd and spicy salmon rolls. Sunset Blvd included spicy yellowtail, salmon, crunch inside topped with spicy tuna and avocado in plum sauce. I’ve never had that combination before, but Im now hooked on it. it was full flavored with just enough spice to keep me coming back for more. the meat was fresh and the rice had good texture. The salmon rolls were good, however, I ordered spicy salmon and they were not spicy at all. What I didn’t like was the number of fried rolls. I like sushi because the fish is raw and healthier vs fried. I feel they need less fried rolls. Service was ok, but when I walked in the host was no where to be found, but after they hunted him down he sat us. He kept everything going until the end, when he went missing again. I know its not the best of jobs to be a host, but if thats your job, stick around.

FYI: They have uni and quail eggs delivered every Friday. My biggest qualm with this place is that seemingly half of the roll menu is in some way tempura. I don’t like fried foods and I don’t like when sushi establishments make a ton of rolls fried. The sushi snob strikes again, I suppose. I did have a roll(the name escapes me) that was made of cucumber rather than rice/seaweed and yellowtail, which was rather delicious. I also had a spider hand roll which was pretty good. The spicy conch sashimi was excellent! The service was stellar and the server was very informative about the uni/quail egg situation. If I had my way, this place would have 3x their roll selection. However, I don’t often get what I’d like in sushi restaurants — call it high expectations. Would I dine here again? Absolutely. This area of town is lacking in the raw fish department.

This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. I have lived in the Oviedo– Winter Springs area for over 6 years and I have eaten sushi at some of the best sushi restaurants around the country and I still crave this place when I am away on business. The sushi is fresh ans delicious and so is everything else on the menu. The staff is really nice, especially chao lin. I’m not sure if that’s how you spell her name but she remembered my name after only visiting the restaurant twice. I highly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointe. :)

Wow. I am not a sushi fan. My hangup isn’t the idea of raw fish, it is a strong dislike for the flavor of the kelp wrapping used in rolls. My wife, however, absolutely loves sushi. With Osaka, I think we’ve finally found a sushi restaurant that has something for both of us. I had the Beef Negimaki(see uploaded picture). It is like a sushi roll in shape, but made with strips of rare, tender beef wrapped around chopped scallions, soaked in teriyaki sauce, and covered with sesame seeds. It was delicious, fresh, unique, and unlike any other beef dish I have ever had. Extremely enjoyable. My wife ordered a three sushi roll lunch special, with two Spicy Tuna Rolls and one Sweet Potato Roll. She says that the Spicy Tuna Roll was her favorite. She tends to judge whether she likes a sushi place largely by how good this particular roll is, and she says that theirs was AWESOME. It had good flavor, good texture inside and out, and was well-rolled. The presentation of the food was exquisite as well, as you can tell from the photos from other reviewers. Osaka obviously has a passion, not just for sushi, but for quality food in general. Even if you don’t like sushi, there is a good chance that this particular sushi bar has something for you.

This place is a hidden gem of sushi happiness in Orlando! Situated in a new strip mall along 434 in Winter Springs, it took a little driving around to find it. The décor is unassuming and simple but really we didn’t come here for the décor, did we? The sushi is A-MA-ZING here! I’ve sample sashimi at many, many sushi places and this is truly the first time I can honestly say that it’s worth the price tag. Arranged artfully in a vase full of shaved ice, each piece was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I also tried the yellowtail with jalapeño as an appetizer and was not dissapointed. It had an awesome kick to it and I was very sad when the last piece joined the party in my tummy because I probably could have eaten 10 plates of just that. My friend ordered the tofu tempura, drenched in a sweet sauce and just lightly fried, which was perfect. The service was nice and efficient and you can really tell that these chefs know their sushi!

We love Osaka and they have a great deal on Mondays. Selected rolls(it’s a great list) are $ 3.50. I have never had anything bad and the service is good, contrary to another review. Everyone is friendly and very gracious. My favorite is the 2 roll lunch special — Spicy Crab & Shrimp Tempura with a Fantastic Roll that I share with my husband. It comes with soup or salad — I have the salad! Just good Sushi!

We went there for dinner on Valentine’s day. Service was lacking — it took between 5 to 10 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. Then the server barely came by to check on us when we needed drink refills. Other than the service, the ambience was good and the food was excellent. Their signature rolls were very good and unique. The sashimi was very fresh and were cut into good size pieces. Plate presentation was way above what we’ve seen at other Japanese restaurants. We had to stop and watch the sushi chefs for a few minutes while they were plating someone else’s food — it was a 3D masterpiece. Would definitely go back for the food. Just hope that service would be better next time.

I love this place. i just ate here for the first time last weekend. and everything is perfect. the sushi chef even gave us a free crab salad cuz we were the only ones in the entire place. i guess this place just opened up not too long ago so they don’t have too much business. the presentation is insanely awesome. sometimes your dish actually glows with deliciousness. the fish was extremely fresh and the rolls were awesome. and surprisingly the price wasn’t bad either. win, win, win, win!!! big time! loved it will def be back
