This is a great spot for a low key lunch. I’ve been here several times and really enjoy their sliders and fries. During my recent visit I got the grilled cheese for my daughter and also the chicken tacos. My daughter refused to eat the grilled cheese since she’s being a picky toddler but I thought it was really good. She just ate tons of fries with ketchup instead. The tacos were also yummy and I would get it again but I’ll add some hot sauce next time. It’s not like the super authentic ones but it works. The only dish that I haven’t liked that much was the quesadilla but it may just be me not liking the red peppers in it. Bachi is great to have in the neighborhood and the staff is very friendly. Definitely give it a try!

After much deliberation over where to spend our lunch hour, we decided to make a 25 minute trek to one of our favorite places, Jersey Pizza co. It was quite a time commitment, but we were excited to eat their great food. But as we pulled up to the place, we noticed Bachi and were immediately inquisitive. After a little bit of Unilocal research we abandoned our original plan and went here instead. A simple but great menu! All choices were ordered by the group of 3 and each plate was very good. I got the sliders, which reminded me of White Manna, not to be confused with White Castle. They were great and exactly what I was looking for in a slider. I also got the chicken quesadilla which came with sour cream and Pico de gallo. I really enjoyed both plates. I’m happy we tried this place out. It’s going to be difficult to pass it up next time we go to Jersey Pizza co. Might have to get a plate to go from here!

Kinda of a weird concept, burgers, tacos, teriyaki, but a cool idea. I love the interior design of the place, and everyone there was very friendly. I got some sliders and Belgium fries. The teriyaki sauce on the burger was great, but the sliders themselves were kinda bland and overdone. I also wish the fries were crispier. I want to go back and try the quesadillas, and the chicken teryiaki because they both looked a lot better then the sliders.

I been keeping an eye on this spot for some time now. My boyfriend and I decided to order take out the other night and we decided on this place and I must say the food was really good, very clean and friendly staff. We will order from here again.

Came to arrive at the building a joined to Rita’s water ice. Parking was easy being that it was autumn and that Rita’s was closed. A worker was on the side of the building and was smoking a cigarette that seemed to have made the whole entrance smell. Upon entering the cashier welcomed us with a warm smile. She told us to take our time ordering and seemed to be very pleasant. We ordered sweet potato fries, teriyaki sliders, steak and shrimp teriyaki and two side sauces; mango and ginger. The fries were wonderful for their price and the sauces were ok. I liked the mango one better than the ginger. The sliders were just average. Over-rated reviews got my hopes up — comparing it to White Mana — maybe if you come here super high and you don’t know what the hell you’re taking about. The teriyaki dinner was the best thing I tasted there and I would buy it again. The dining area table was very sticky for some unknown reason and also there was a rogue broccoli that was on the bench behind me(see photos) Average place that deserves an average review.

I love this place! This my second time I’ve been back in three months after my colleagues’ recommendation, and it still tastes just as good as before. I always get the chicken teriyaki and slider. The chicken is tender and yummy, with the appropriate sauces, a good heaping of rice, and freshly cooked veggies(cabbage, broccoli, and carrots). Though it is not super fancy or anything, these people know how to make tasty food that is ten times as yummy as the overpriced other Japanese food I’ve been to.

Great cheesey, oniony greasy sliders. Flavor is superb! Forget about White Manna — that would be 2 stars in comparison. They have added some new items.

New shop, great vibe. The menu is simple: sliders, teriyaki, and fries. I’ve had all three. Sliders: fresh, tasty ground beef over sauteed onions on a potato bun. Teriyaki: seared meats(beef, chicken, shrimp) covered in a unique teriyaki sauce over really tasty rice or noodles(recommend the rice, impartial about the noodles). Comes with steamed whole veggies, not the frozen mix variety. Fries(my favorite) are thick cut and filled. Thai sweet chili dip is bananas. Overall, really good stuff: filling but still pretty healthy, and a great value. Just opened and they seem to be on a good track. Great for the neighborhood. Kudos to the crew here.

If you come to Bachi 197, you are getting teriyaki, sliders and/or fries. The menu is simple and food service fast. It is fast food at a slightly more upscale way. There are a few tables and a row of stools against the window, but take out seemed like the more popular option on a recent visit. The sliders were bigger than I expected, but came packed with too many onions. The teriyaki is comparable to fast food Asian that I’ve had at chains such as Panda Express. The fries were thick cut and fried fresh.

I don’t see what everyone is raving over this place. They serve just sliders with thick cut fries and chicken teriyaki. It’s nothing special if you want to grab lunch go some where else this place is average at best. I got the chicken teriyaki and would rather go to a Chinese restaurant instead for lunch. My friend got the sliders both were still raw inside it’s ground beef not steak you should cook it through. Even though it’s average and cheap you can get better sliders/burgers nearby and chicken teriyaki as well. If you want good sliders white mana Hackensack is still the best. Chinese food go to New Taste of China in East Rutherford.

We had been keeping an eye for this even before it officially open for business. One time, we were at Rita’s and realized that the space next to it had a sign on the roof«Bachi 197». Hmmm, after some waiting, the Bachi 197 finally opened for business :) Ordered the beef teriyaki with noodles and the 2 sliders+fries combo. Out of this world! Everything is so fresh and delicious! The sliders are even better than white manna. Next time, I’ll have to try the different types of dipping sauces

Bachi 197 destroys Sarku and its competition. Great tasting teriyaki, but the real surprise is how good the beef and shrimp taste. Ordered the 2 combo teriaki with rice and it was amazing. Its just the right portion size and makes a great lunch or dinner meal. Also tried a portion of a slider and it was just as good as white manna burgers, if not better. My next visit I have to try the fries and dipping sauces. This is a must try for all teriyaki lovers.

Just got two of everything they make basically. Terrific all around! The sliders are like White Castle but good… if you can imagine that. Let’s say they’re just really good. A little greasy as they should be with lots of flavor from the onions and cheese. The chicken teriyaki is excellent. The ginger dipping sauce is really something special. This is a surprisingly groovy place for this town. Very nice.

Food was fantastic and great service. I love how they use an American Asian fusion vibe. Great burger and terriyaki food. The prices were very reasonable. I will definitely come back.
