I must say I know it’s a chain but the bbq is really good. I’ve never had a bad experience. The burnt ends are great, so are the ribs and rib tips. It may be a chain but all the bbq is slow cooked. Non of this boiled then finished on the grill BS.

First time visit. Our server was Alexis and was wonderful! The food was fairly good, but spicier than I like. We were seated at a table near the door and reception desk. Another server came to the desk and loudly questioned why she wasn’t being «sat.» Discussion followed and the guy at the desk tried to explain. She continued complaining loudly about the situation, eventually going to the manager. None of this should have been displayed for customers to see and hear. This was a private issue that should have been addressed in that manner. We were very disappointed with her conduct and that she was allowed to continue.

I normally eat here a lot but after the service I received yesterday I will not be returning the food was overcooked. the waitress was horrible. The orders were wrong and by the time I got my food my party had finished eating. I ask the waitress to box it for me she told me I had to box it myself they were busy in the kitchen. We all shuck our heads and just left.

Had the Ribs and brisket and not impressed with either. I was hoping for the meat to fall off the bones on the ribs but that did not happen. Brisket had a lot of fat on it.

Pretty horrible. Made me remember why I stopped going there. The hostess and waitress were nice and that was the high point of the visit. What can you expect from a Pepsi serving restaurant. I ordered a rack of ribs the the first rack was so TOUGH I couldn’t eat them. The manager replaced them with another rack of ribs but they were still pretty tough and chewy and didn’t have much flavor. I thought about ordering their BBQed chicken but it is not REALLY BBQed but roasted and then slathered with BBQ sauce. Funny when their menu brags on their open pit grill cooking but apparently it doesn’t apply to the chicken. The waitress said I should come in on Sunday for some fried chicken. I asked her if it was better than Popeyes and of course she said it was. They gave me corn bread but the waitress said it was sweetened with honey. I ordered the green beans as a side and they were bright green and had a texture similar to rubber. My wife got their sausage and said it was OK. She ordered ice tea but replaced it with Dr. Pepper because she said the tea tasted so bad. I got tea also but thought my tea tasted OK. I looked at their dessert list but felt they were all overpriced. I can remember ordering their pecan pie and it was like someone took a pie shell and dumped in a batch of fresh pecans. I swore I would NEVER order that again. I wondered how the Georgia minced pork would be but figured I wouldn’t like it. I often felt like if you have to chop or mince the meat then the meat probably wasn’t too good in the first place.
I’m pretty sure I won’t be coming back or it I think about going back rereading my review should talk me out of it.

Famous Daves is probably my favorite BBQ place in the area. I think they have the most consistent flavor and it’s always food to take home.

I like here. I had both dined in and picked up before. The service was good and food was delicious. The price was fair too. I will definitely come back.

So I decided to bring my daughters here for Valentine’s Day. They wait for 3 was only 5 – 10 mins at 6:15 which I thought was great. We were seated near the fireplace and TVs which is always good when you have kids that talk incessantly. We order our food and then drinks in the typical fashion. No appetizer tonight; however, I did substitute a side for a salad which in my opinion should have come out as an appetizer. The table behind us was seated shortly thereafter. Why do I look up only to realize, the table behind us has received not o lay their drinks, but entire meal before us. I have to ask about our meal, which comes out within 5 mins. Only to have to ask for flatware… and my side salad… and butter. My daughter is sitting with an empty glass of strawberry lemonade. At no time, were we offered water. That must be something new is Prince William County. I’ve never been somewhere that water isn’t customarily brought to the table or at least offered to everyone. Note… second request for water.
The food… both kids order ribs. One from the kid’s menu the other from the adult’s. Both enjoyed them and their sides. I ordered their beef short rib. It was super tender with great flavor!!! The short rib was the size of a dinosaur bone. Lol. The sides ordered between us were, green beans, fries, side salad, corn and broccoli. All were fresh and very tasty.
Despite everything that went wrong initially, the manager came over to personally apologize and gave me a nice discount on the bill. The great food and manager’s desire to salvage a customer made this a 5-​star experience.

Just amazing.
I went with my family, which included a 3 year old picky eater and I was extremely impressed. We ordered the sampler for two and we were able to pick three meats, we went with Chicken, Pulled Pork, and the Ribs and man was is amazing! Every piece of meat was tender to the bone. Not a dry meat anywhere. The the BBQ sauces that were on the table to sample are a must if it’s your first time visiting Famous Dave’s, just be careful of the one with the red top it’s extremely hot.
The waitress that attended us knew her stuff and was able to help us with a recommendation on what to try and she nailed it. As for my son he had the grill cheese and too my surprise he actually ate it. That’s amazing to us because he doesn’t usually eat the same thing twice. He also had a pineapple slice which was a great option for a kids meal.
All in all, I highly recommend this location for all families and people that love great BBQ. The sauces are sweet and bold and full of flavor. They also have some sauces that pack a punch in the spice department if you’re into that sort of thing. So take my word when I say you want to eat at famous Dave’s if you want tender and full of flavor BBQ.

Famous Dave’s is a long time favorite. Great BBQ sauces on top of great food!
Staff was amazingly friendly, service was lighting fast and food came out quicker than expected.
You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Chicken will fall right off the bone.
Garlic mashed potatoes is a must have side.
Portions are filling and larger than expected for the price.
Can’t say enough about the sauces. Thankfully they actually sell bottles of them so you can take your favorite home with you.

Came in with my partner for a quick bite to eat. Friendly waitstaff and the ambience was pretty standard for a bbq place. I had a two meat combo with broccoli and mashed potatoes. He had a
‘feast for one’. We had plenty to take home. Their assortment of sauces was great too. I asked for my meat ‘naked’ so I could add my own. The country roasted chicken was really tasty.

Stopped on the way home with my family. You have a lot to chose from in this area. Daves was a good pick. Food was timely and tasty: brisket, chicken tenders, hamburger, & fried chicken salad. Service was friendly. They have a booth that offers half-​priced food (see picture).

The brisket is good and the chili is spicy with nice chunks of beef. I usually skip most of the sides. Big selection of sauces and prices are very good. Desserts are surprisingly good as well.
This is not fine dining by any means but if you want some inexpensive flavor fireworks then this is your place. There aren’t too many food options in Woodbridge so this is a solid choice.
3.5 stars for the food an extra .5 stars for being in Woodbridge lol.

We have eaten here many times. It is, in fact one of our favorites. Sometimes the ribs, pulled (chopped) pork and chicken BBQ are perfect, but sometimes they are just average. I don’t know why it varies. The lunch special is a great deal although you sometimes have to ask for the menu.
Service is great and we will keep coming back.

Famous Dave’s has always been good to me. I’ve eaten at this location numerous times and have NEVER been disappointed. While known for ribs, I’ve been partial to the catfish tenders on recent visits. A heaping of hot fried catfish tenders with a delicious remoulade sauce. Always banging. The sides are adequate, depending on what you get. This time I got collards (canned obviously but doctored up with some chopped pork) and some really good red skinned mashed potatoes. The cornbread is pretty tasty as well, not dry at all. The young lady at the bar is ALWAYS on her A-​game and offers quick service. I’ll be back for sure.

There is a reason to be famous. Really tasty spareribs!

This is the second time I have been to this spot. Both times my family and I have had a great time. BBQ makes everyone feel good. I had the St. Louis Rib and chicken platter. None of it made it home. The cornbread was good as well. My sister had the spicy (not so much) sausage and ribs. I like the variety of sauces and the service was also outstanding.

This was my first time here I have to say it was a great experience. I had some of the best ribs here, they were very tender and seasoned well! The sweet mama punch was also a great drink. It wasn’t watered down, it was a great balance between alcohol and the punch. There cornbread was very good, One of the best that I’ve had at a restaurant. I could tell that it was fresh and not box made. The waitress was very nice she gave me some great recommendations and she didn’t come back to much nor didn’t for get about us.
I will definitely becoming back here again very soon. There prices are very decent for great food. The only thing that I disliked was that the bathroom water was very cold when I went to wash my hands and the restaurant was very cold as well.

Dined here yesterday for the 1^st time. We were taken care of by Steven. He was very personable and suggested his favorites. We started off with the appetizer known as burnt ends. It consists of brisket ends, onion rings, and pickle slices. Tasty! For my meal, I went with the wood planked salmon and it was fantastic! It included 2 sides and cornbread. I had the red skin mashed potatoes and sweet corn on the cob.
I was full, but Steven mentioned the banana pudding with Nilla wafers… so delicious. reminiscent of a banana cream pie. Overall amazing comfort food and service at Famous Dave’s.
