Listen, the food here is good if you order right. I would recommend the turkey or steak tips and a salad.

Good but not great. Fair prices, good service, good food as far as I know. I got a Vermont Cheddar Burger, which was pretty good. I was with a rather large group, which they handled relatively well, despite the short notice we gave the restaurant. I didn’t hear anything bad about anyone else’s food or the service from the people I was with.

I love me some 99s. The chicken fingers are awesome and the steak tips are the best around. Then they went and made a combo meal where you get chicken fingers and steak tips. My head almost exploded. This is my main 99s, although I’ll get 99s any chance I get. My order is always correct and ready when I get there. I usually get take out, when I have eaten in its been a good experience.

I too have been a longtime customer of this establishment, but, the last visit 12-9-2015 was horrible!!! I was there alone for a bite while waiting to pick my Husband up from work… I was there around 5:00pm. I was seated, the place was near empty, and it took almost 10 minutes to be acknowledged from the waitstaff whom where huddled talking in a corner. The waitress finally came, I ordered immediately, seafood chowder and the blue cheese wedge. The chowder came ice cold, again no waitress in sight, so, I ate the salad, and waited. When I could finally see her, I asked to please have the chowder heated up, as stated, it was ice cold when it was first served. She brought it back minutes later, and said, «be careful, I don’t want you to burn yourself!’ Not a chance, it was lukewarm with coldness still throughout!!! For the first time in my life I left way below a good tip! Awful service, I should have gone to Buschel and Peck!!! We all have our days, I wait on people all day as well, good lesson learned DONOTTREATANYONETHEWAY I WASTREATEDTHATNIGHT!!! And to have to pay for service that bad, never again, a longtime good customer is lost! ! if your servers don’t want to serve, they should find another job elsewhere, what a shame!!! I had gone to the West Boylston Street location on that day.

Have been here a few times for takeout because they are close to my work. Wanted to get home with food for the family and tried the curbside service. I find the curbside to be slow. One time I had to call them to come out. The food is decent, reliable pub food. Like a lot of the chains they sell cheaper boneless wings and don’t offer wings with bones in. The food isn’t bad and prices are reasonable.

The few times I have been there(twice) it has been rather unpleasant. I don’t recall what I had the first time, but the second time a had a burger with maple mayo and it was one of the only times in my life I’ve not finished a burger.

We planned a last minute dinner for my sister’s birthday this past friday, Aug. 21st. I called this 99 ahead as it was going to be a party for 6, the lady on the phone put me down for 8:30pm and said«you probably didn’t even need to call, we’re usually not busy at that time»… So to our surprise when we got there(on time) and was told we had about a 30 minute wait… Especially when the parking lot and restaurant was relatively empty. When I asked about the reservation, I was told that they don’t actually take reservations but it’s more of a call-ahead list??? Another large party came while we were waiting and they were told an hour wait. One of the guys was confused and even ended up going inside the seating area and count 19 empty tables… Clearly, they just did not have enough waitstaff. And that would’ve been okay with me, had I not called ahead. So do not bother making reservations here! To top it off, I ordered boneless wings, and they were cold! A few of the other girls I was with was also disappointed with cold meals. I would’ve given 1 star, but our waitress was really good. Oh yeah, another ridiculous thing however; she came to the waiting area and had to ask the lady at the podium or whatever to sit us; we kept seeing her wandering, not looking busy… Strange. Anyways, her and other waitstaff sang their birthday song to my sister which was fun.

Wonderful service. We just arrived here after a full day of flying and were so hungry. Our waiter Jeanne sat us down late at night and gave us one of the greatest services we’ve had in a long time. She spoke to us with the upmost respect and care and gave us more than we could have ever asked for. The food was excellent as well! Wonderful portions and so, so much flavor. Thank you 99 and thank you so much Jeanne!

I was in Worcester for a 2-day meeting and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Worcester. It’s a quick 3min-ish walk, so I decided to eat here. I was seated at the bar and got a complementary pop corn :) The bar tender was really accommodating and helped me order. I got their colossal lobster roll, which was good, but a bit pricey for me. I went there again and got a chicken & sausage al forno which was actually pretty good. I went back there more out of convenience, but the food was pretty good. All in all, the food was good, the food preparation was fast, the ambience was nice, and the servers were great. Not much to complain about.

Haters are going to hate, but I like this place. I have fond memories visiting their Medford location with my grandparents as a child — and The Woo’s outpost didn’t sully it. First things first — the 99 is a family oriented/pub chain. What it does, it does well: burgers, fries, chicken parm, simple wraps. This is not fine dining — so don’t order the most unique item on the menu. The turkey burger was really great! It was well seasoned, and wasn’t weirdly lumpy like some pub’s favor. The bun was different– and I approve. I think it was made of sourdough. Fries rounded out the meal and They were well portioned, cooked properly(crispy but soft in the inside) and well seasoned. Along with my Burger I ordered a Diet Pepsi. The whole meal came to about $ 11. Not too shabby. I want to close my review by giving a shoutout to my fabulous server Ashley– who exhibited customer service skills way beyond that of her fancy restaurant contemporaries. She supplied me with extra napkins, checked the need for drink refills, asked about my food, rushed my order so I could make a meeting in time, constantly refilled the free popcorn bowl, and generally was super friendly and accommodating. Well done 99, I’ll be back the next time I need a quick, in between meetings lunch.

In town for business ate here last night and tonight. Last night food was amazing. Bar servers and managers are the best. The best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Ordered a dish that I didn’t enjoy the 2nd night and they were all great about it. Took it off my bill and gave me a free dessert. Makes long business trips not seem so bad with great food and customer service. Thank you bar tenders and servers!!!

Food was hot, over cooked hot. Thankful for the popcorn, vegetable and fries sides, didnt leave still hungry. Ordered a new(ha ha) chicken item with lemon rosemary, recommended by wait staff. Dish should be described as jerky lemon rosemary chicken tips. didnt look like the menu pic. Oh, dont forget to drink plenty of water, everything was SALTY, heart attack in the waiting. I wouldnt recommend freezer to plate cooking at Pub 99. Not home cooking, my guess, they hire any high school senior to run the grill. No skill food prep. I wont be back nor send business their way.

This is a typical 99, I feel like they always have solid food and a cheap drink if you want it. I would go 3 stars but both times I have been here(it is near my wife’s midwife for checkups) I have had spectacular servers. The first guy(I wish I remember his name) was simply amazing. When he realized my wife’s food was incorrect and another person was telling us we couldn’t get what she wanted he came in whisked it away and was back in a jiffy with the proper food. He was AMAZING!!!

The service from Kirstin at the bar was satisfactory, so was the wait for the entrée. Requested salmon atop my Caesar salad, was told that it was just removed from the menu, and it was popular. Go figure. It was cooked to perfection, salad was pretty well balance of dressing and greens. I was satisfied with my experience, wild visit agin if in the neighborhood.

This place is getting a bad rap on Unilocal — maybe I came in on a good day but my experience was great. I have to keep saying this over and over in all my reviews — you have to go into a restaurant expecting what you should for the type of restaurant. This is a 99 chain — not a 5 star restaurant — atmosphere should be like a low-key pub/family friendly. They have some new menu options and have also brought back some old favorites. We came in before the circus last weekend for a quick lunch. We told our waitress as soon as we sat down that we were in a rush and she was great! We had mozzarella sticks that tasted homemade for an appetizer and we both order the lunch size portion of the fish and chips. The lunch size portion was huge and only $ 8.99.(I can’t imagine how big the full size would be!) The fish was cooked perfect and not greasy at all. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes but never felt rushed. Iced tea, an appetizer and two lunches for only $ 30 — you can’t beat that!

Nice ppl but do not love the food. Was staying nearby and told by hotel staff how amazing this place was. It’s a local chain, similar, I’m guessing, in caliber to Applebees. Not realizing this, I went over to pick up some takeout. It was a little dingy inside but the takeout girl/hostess was very nice. I had the mandarin orange chicken salad. It wasn’t all that. the chicken was fresh but very salty in a teriyaki glaze. I did not care for the type of greens they put in the salad. You know the kind where you feel like you’re eating a pile of grass? Yeah those kind. Would probably dine elsewhere if I ever were in this area again.
