I come here exclusively for all basic produce, love to support local businesses — especially when the quality is above + beyond

Single best place to get fruit and veggies in central ma. If you’ve been buying yours at a supermarket all these years you have no idea what you’re missing. Fresh high quality produce and an amazing selection for such a small place. If they don’t have it you don’t want it. We’ve all grown up on mediocre fruits and vegetables because supermarkets buy it out of season and ship stuff in. Fruit for example is never benefited from being refrigerated and it retards the growth period making a mediocre product. Give this place a try, not only is it delicious, the prices are better than supermarkets. I’m here at least twice a week.

I have shopped at Commercial Fruit 2 times in the 4 years since we moved here. I ran in to grab tomatoes for a salad once and green beans another time. That’s it. The store is small and does carry some good produce but the prices are higher than I can afford on a regular basis. The customer service is generally friendly and it strikes me more as a place to grab a few items then to do a week’s worth of shopping. I don’t know why«Garden Outlet» is in the title for this place — it’s basically an enclosed farm stand. Also, for the love of the English language — could you please stop spelling asparagus as «aspara grass»?
