This park is quite large — with lots of water and open space for picnics/games and a few covered pavilions. Petting zoo(free!) with lots of friendly animals. Most importantly? The really beautiful Massachusetts Vietnam War Memorial. So impactful — worth the visit. Take your children… teach them.

One of the few places I enjoy visiting in Worcester. I love walking through the War Memorial and I also enjoy the walking and biking trails. Also the small zoo is a nice touch. One day before I move I’ll go there during the winter and slide down those hills.

Nice park, lots of green space. The area around the Vietnam Memorial is very quaint and well kept. The little zoo is also a pleasant surprise. There is a playground, a few bodies of water, lots of grass, a little concert area, and makes you feel like you’re not in Worcester. No maps of the trails though, if you don’t know about them, it will be hard to find them at first.

4th of July weekend here is always awesome for car enthusiasts as the Summer Nationals come to town. acres and acres of cars of all sizes and shapes parked all over.

Gorgeous. But you can’t swim in the water which is lame.

This is a nice park in the middle of worcester. They used to have The Coolest playground when i was little, but i guess it was deemed dangerous. So now instead of towering slides, the Cinderella Carriage, and the Spaceship, there is just your run-of-the-mill little playground. there’s also a really sad little barnyard zoo. but it *is* free. That said, Green Hill park is still a great place to pack a picnic and venture to with the kids for a couple of hours. Be sure to bring some stale bread to feed the geese at the pond who will come eat right out of your hand! There are always little league games going on during the weekend so the snack bar serving drinks and hotdogs does a brisk business, as does the ever-circulating ice cream truck. For those woodsy kids there are trails you can follow that are fairly well-marked. all in all, a nice place to go to every now and then.
