I don’t get here very often as I don’t work in the city anymore. I used to love hanging out here. Not sure what it’s like here on the weekends but during the week it’s fairly quiet. I’d either park under a shady tree for a lunch time nap or have lunch at one of the picnic benches. For the sun lovers out there, there is a beach here. It’s not the ocean beaches I grew up with, but a nice little piece of heaven for a city no where close to one.

Lake Quinsigamond(also Long Pond) is a body of water situated between the city of Worcester and the town of Shrewsbury in Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA. It is 4 miles(6 km) long, between 50 and 85 feet(15 and 26 m) deep, and has a surface area of approximately 772 acres. We came by on a dreary day for the EARC Sprints, which are held within the park at and around Regatta Point annually. The Park was closed to «the public»(unless said public wanted to proffer $ 10 admission) but you could view the races from the bridge near the finish line, where spectators with cameras dotted the sign-studded overpass. The place was in good shape overall, boasting some nice slopes and a boathouse with restrooms, but I found the lack of concessions a bit perplexing(though far from infuriating).
