I found their lunch buffet assortment, inedible and overpriced. The fried rice tasted like it was precooked and reheated. The BBQ pork had the consistency of lukewarm plastic. Whatever lukewarm plastic was not used for the pork, was shredded and used as stuffing for the egg rolls. Not worth the $ 28 we paid for two people. On the other hand, our server was a very decent person and I made sure to leave her a generous tip.

Great Chinese food! Stopped in for a drink while waiting for our take out order. The bartender suggested for us to order the pork buns They got the food ready quickly. When we got home we tried the pork buns first and they didn’t disappoint! Definitely will be something we order every time now.

atmosphere is cool. My kids love the fish tanks everywhere. Food is pretty good, but I don’t recall thinking it was anything incredible. I go for the buffet.

Very decent food. Love the buffet and the atmosphere is nice. Service is good and for this type of food it is consitantly tasty. Location is in a safe area and easy to get there by car.

I hope you like to get the wrong thing every time you order. I’ve ordered from nancy Chang multiple times, they have messed up my orders every time. I always give them another chance as they are the only vegan Chinese restaurant I know about. This is the LAST time they get my money. I asked for spring rolls and vegan rice noodles, I also let them know about my allergies. What did I get? Shrimp rolls and chicken noodles. What a surprise it was to take a bite and get sick from their food. Who doesn’t love using their epipen when they order from this place? I called and asked to speak to a manager, let them know this wasn’t the first time and to check their history because this is literally the 5th time in a row that they mess up my order. It’s a 20 minute drive each way for me to go back to the restaurant and get it exchange, I complained and explained my frustration and they kept saying that there was miscommunication. I understand if it’s once, maybe even twice. But I gave this place WAY too many chances. I even told them I took pictures and will send them to them so they will see. I’m extremely annoyed with their costumer service and staff. Want a tip? Make sure you check your food BEFORE you leave their restaurant if you order for pick up.(Which is something I’ve actually had to do multiple times)

Pricey. The food isn’t amazing its just average. Its awkward in the summer to walk through the patio to get to the entrance. They did cute updates. Im not a huge fan of this restaurant but will go when im hungry for buffet.

We go to Nancy Chang’s from time to time for the vegan options. I usually get the buffet and my boyfriend orders one of the vegan chicken dishes. The food is pretty consistently average, and the drinks are usually sub-par. The buffet is stocked with the dishes you expect to see(pork fried rice, chicken fingers, crab rangoons, Chinese donuts, chocolate pudding…) and some upgraded options like seafood dishes and a variety of soups. There are a lot of healthy menu options which is rare for a Chinese place. We;ve taken to eating lunch as opposed to dinner(because some items are priced differently at lunch) and we still pay big bucks for food that is only OK.

Hope you like hair in your food and wrapped around your spring rolls! Tried to resolve easily when we called to mention it but we were told we had to bring the food back there for them to inspect(about a 30 minute drive each way with no traffic). Offered to send them a pic but was told the owner had to deal with it and he was out for the night. Also my chicken pad thai had no chicken in it. Used to love this place but the situation was handled terribly.

Tried lunch as takeout as I’ve seen it featured on Phantom Gourmet with my two daughters. I had General Chow as main dish with boneless spareribs and brown rice. First, way overpriced at $ 11 for a lunch special? Seems very high but then the portions were just average leaning toward smallish. Girls had chicken fingers, pork lomein and boneless spareribs… not great, only average at best and the smallish portions were a disappointment… too pricey for me considering the portions… chanting…“OVER-RATED”!!!

Let’s start with the positive: the crab rangoons were delicious. There, that’s it. We got takeout last night from here and there really isn’t much to rave about. The staff wasn’t unfriendly, but I wouldn’t say that they were friendly either. They were indifferent at best. The Peking ravioli were largely flavorless and the vegetable pad Thai contained only carrots and onions. I guess that qualifies it as «vegetable.» The sauce was nothing special on the pad Thai either. All in all a poor showing by a restaurant that, by all accounts, is highly regarded.

Went on a weeknight and sat through quite possibly the worst service you could imagine. The waiters rushed us through our entire meal. The food was average but it didn’t taste like the«healthy» food it claims to be. The sauce on my dish was very thick.

Average at best. People rave about this place for their superior Chinese food but I do not agree. For the price, it should be better than it is. The buffet had a good selection but I thought was a bit pricey and didn’t taste any different than a cheaper Chinese food place. We had a drink at the bar after we ate and the bartender was very disorganized and couldn’t remember a thing, and moved very slow. It took us a while to just order 2 bottled beers and then took even longer to get the check after we asked. The night we were there everything seemed to be disorganized. The hostess or manager was yelling at servers, maybe they were short staffed but everyone seemed flustered and angry at each other and they let the customers overhear everything. That’s not good business. I liked the feel of the place and might go back, but maybe on a week day where it’s less busy and the buffet is less expensive.

I’ve only gotten takeout here but just about everything was delicious! Lo mein wasn’t my favorite but great chicken dishes. Vegan & gluten free menus make it a great choice for groups with diverse dietary constraints.

I went to Nancy Chang’s last night with my family. I didn’t see the buffet on the menu, but I had walked by it on our way in and figured it would be nice to get a variety of foods rather than one dish. They have a variety of fried foods(eggs rolls, crab rangoons, scallion pies) and a hot bar of lo mein, fried rice, general chow’s chicken, etc. The food was ok, it didn’t seem fresh at all. The general chow’s chicken didn’t taste like chicken, it tasted like pork. The fried foods looked like they had been sitting under the heat lamps all day. The worst part was when the bill came and the buffet was $ 18 per person!!! I was shocked. The food was not very good, and the price was outrageous. I will not be back.

We came here for lunch. The food’s good, and the gluten free selection means my wife can eat here without being sick. The large quantity of 1star reviews really looks like some sort of coordinated assault on the place … People’s opinions can vary, sure — but some of those reviews seem to be describing an imaginary location…

I had been looking for a restaurant that could potentially cater for a wedding party and there have been some reviews that reference this restaurant. I excitedly called up this restaurant in order to try and get more details to see if this restaurant would be a great fit for the party. I had the owner and a catering point of contact talk to me. The whole initial experience did not thrill me at all. The whole time I was talking to them, I felt like they were being very forceful and arrogant. They assumed that I should know what I want and to not ask any«obvious» questions. I had inquired about some of the basic information and they constantly tried to ask about my budget. It made me feel that if I did not mention a large enough budget, they would just hang up the phone on me. I had asked to see what kind of menu options they would provide and the response was not rather welcoming. They told me that if I did not know what kind of menu options I wanted, I should call back at a later time once I know what I wanted. They mention that they offer a wedding catering menu but did not tell us what was on it. Instead, they gave us two options. 1. Reference their online menu which had the standard American Chinese packages. 2. Create our own menu. Option 2 sounded like a catch 22 since we don’t know what kind of items we can select if there is no wedding menu. The last straw that I had from this bad experience is when we had asked for a catering license. Our venue requires that for any caterer to come in, they need to have a catering license and insurance, which means that they are up to code. They laughed at me when I asked for a license and said that they did not need it when they catered at the Marriott Courtyard. I looked up the Marriott and that venue is even more strict than where I am having my wedding. Either this restaurant did not exactly understand my questions or they think that I am very dumb to have responded in such a way. I am not pleased. I have not tried the food. And I don’t plan to since I have been treated rather poorly.

I have been here several times in the past year, the nice thing is that they serve«healthier» options than your regular Chinese restaurant. Lots of vegan and heart healthy meals as well. Have never tried the buffet, as that is the quickest way to overeat. The drinks can be a little strong, but who says that’s a bad thing?

Nancy Chang’s is an interesting place indeed. This is a restaurant that serves Chinese style food, but there isn’t a Chinese person to be found among the staff or patrons. Honestly, it’s no wonder. The food is awful. I came here on a Saturday night with 5 other people. The hostess said it would be a 40 minute wait, but then about 10 minutes later she said they had 2 tables next to each other if we wanted to take that, which we did. It ended up being a booth, with a small table a few feet away. Nobody seemed to mind, as we were close enough to chat and still have a pretty normal experience. It took several minutes for anyone to come over to ask us about drinks or just introduce themselves as our waitress. Perhaps this is because there is a small buffet(very small, like 6 containers of food + a giant bowl of chocolate pudding), and nobody is ever sure who is ordering from the menu or eating at the buffet. When a waitress finally did come over we all ordered drinks(definitely check out their Mai Tai flights). I ordered the vegan«chicken» lo mien and veggie dumplings. My girlfriend ordered the vegan General Chow’s «chicken»(I know it’s actually«Tso’s, but on the menu it’s written«Chow’s» — this was one of a few red flags about the quality/authenticity of the food). It took quite a while for our drinks to come out and even longer for the food. Let’s start with the dumplings… They were neon green. The dumpling shell was obviously died with artificial food coloring, which was off-putting. They were mediocre at best, I only ate one I just couldn’t stomach any more. My vegan chicken lo mien was awful. I mean, how do you screw up noodles and vegetables? Whatever sauce they used was way too sweet. The mock chicken was just mush, totally inedible. I had a few bites since I was starving at this point, but just gave up eating after a few minutes. My g/f’s vegan General Chow’s chicken was the same — the sauce was super sweet, which made the whole thing taste gross. For a dish that’s usually on the spicier side, this was very disappointing. The one redeeming quality was that the drinks were great. I got a singapore sling, and the group got 2 mai tai flights to share and a few other misc. drinks. All were wonderful, and the prices were fine. I don’t foresee myself returning to Nancy Chang’s anytime soon(read: ever again), and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone expecting authentic Chinese food.
