If you are looking for absolutely amazing Asian cuisine, you have to stop in to see Kenny and his staff. This place produces the best of the best. The quintessential wings, teriyaki, spare ribs and the like are available and most likely will be the best you have ever had. But, if you are looking for something beyond the basics, dive in because you cannot go wrong. From the Mongolian beef(to die for) to the pad Thai, you will leave very satisfied. Let’s not forget the wonderful sushi and the potent and delightful Mai tai’s…try it all. Do not leave, I REPEAT, DONOT leave here without having an order of house special rice. Something that will change your standards for house rice forever. It is AMAZING. Also just as amazing is the beef teriyaki. Fresh, flavorful, tender and unbelievably delicious. Seriously, you are missing out if you don’t give Sake Bomb a try. I have eaten at many many top notch eateries from Boston to Providence and everywhere between. This is my favorite traditional Asian cuisine hands down. If you over on Shrewsbury Street, try their sister restaurant Kenichi. Also awesome.

Now, I know that people joke about how vegetarians tell you they are vegetarian in the first 5 seconds you meet them, but this is a restaurant review, and I need to tell other vegetarians about the awesome vegetarian food I ordered, so just deal with it. We visited this place on my Birthday, because it was my pick and I wanted to try somewhere new. It is tough to get vegetarian sushi beyond the basic cucumber or avocado roll. Sake Bomb has some great options including pickled squash, which happened to be very good. Everything came out beautifully presented, too. My husband had the Bridge(he’s not vegetarian) which included a variety of fresh sushi, and he really liked it. Our server was the best server I’ve ever experienced. He was so incredibly pleasant. Overall, excellent food and service. This is my new favorite sushi place!

A colleague brought me here for lunch and I was skeptical because we were the only people in the restaurant. Pay no attention to that because once people find out how great this place is there will be a line around the block to get in. The food is excellent and the service is better. Super attentive staff. Great value with fair prices for the portion size and quality. As a vegetarian I run into difficulties finding good, creative food that isn’t a salad. SakeBomb has true vegetarian hot and sour soup. No pork and you’d never know it. The soup is perfect, best I’ve ever had. The veggie lo mein is so great. The veggies are nice and crisp and the serving is perfectly sized. They will substitute rice noodles for those with gluten challenges. My colleague has had the Mongolian Beef, the crispy chicken, and my husband has had the beef pad Thai and tuna tataki. Both say all of those dishes are excellent. Bottom line — go.

I’m going to start off with saying that sushi is not one of my favorite things to eat by far. I actually gagged every time I ate it before I tried it at Sake Bomb. I went here with my boyfriend a few weeks ago and it changed my outlook on sushi for sure. We started out with an order of dumplings for an appetizer, they were a good basic gyoza but we both felt like there wasn’t enough on the plate. As for the sushi, we got the dragon maki and tornado maki. My boyfriend LOVES the dragon maki, and also really enjoyed the tornado one — but dragon is definitely his favorite. Personally, I HATE seafood and get queasy just from the smell of it. BUT, I really enjoyed both rolls(tornado had some bbq beef on it though, not as much fish). The shrimp tempura in the dragon maki was very light and tasty — I didn’t feel like I was even eating seafood. Something I hated about sushi in the past was the seaweed. Always so chewy and gross — but the one they use is thin and I’m not spending 5 minutes trying to chew a piece of seaweed. Overall, everything here was good and it’s probably the only sushi I’ll eat again. So if you hate sushi but your partner or friends love it… Try Sake Bomb!!!

I got take out from this place and ordered the teriyaki salmon kitchen special(since I’m on this teriyaki salmon«spree») and when I got to the place to pick up my food, I checked it(because I’m paranoid) and saw that everything was okay. Then when I got to eating it(not too long after) the salmon was so dry and the sauce just tasted like sweet soy sauce. The rice was old and yellow too. Not impressed at all and I won’t be going back.

After my most recent visit I feel the need to update my already stellar review. As of 3÷12÷16 this place is still just as incredible as when it opened. Took my beautiful gem of a lady there last night and we were nothing short of blown away. It all started with our waiter. Quite literally the best server I’ve, no we’ve ever had in our entire lives. From the genuine want to help and make it a pleasant experience and suggestions along the way that made the dinner that much better. One suggestion that possibly changed the fabric of my entire life which was as small as putting a lemon into my Sprite. Simple, yet genius. The suggestion of the Beef Teriyaki to compliment the Spicy Crab Rangoon. Both of which I’ve had stand alone but went excellent together. Everything thing along the way and through our dinner. I go there for the food and to see my best bud, Kenny. But after that impeccable service. You can guarantee I’ll be back. The food was absolutely incredible. As usual. We started with the Spicy Crab Rangoon’s and the Beef Teriyaki. Thee best and most fresh beef teriyaki I’ve ever had. Literally blew my mind. Spicy crab Rangoon’s always incredible. Remember when Kenny first suggested them and they’re still just an incredible. We went on to the Avocado Crab Salad. Thats the general name of it, Kenny brought me one out last time and I fell in love. So we had to get it again. We ended our meal with my 2 sushi’s. Crazy Maki, and Dragon Maki. Which were executed perfectly and made for an all around incredible experience as always. Go try them out and enjoy for yourself.

Chinese food has come a long way since Ho Toy. This place was beautiful inside. Crab rangoons were very good. Pork fried rice tasted nothing like the old rice. Delic!!! Very fresh. Service a little slow. But it was Friday night and the place was crowded. Sushi was deli as well.

Okay… Let me start with I LOVESUSHI! But I haven’t had it since I went here for my birthday in November. My husband and I went to the comedy club across the street, and grabbed a quick sushi bite before heading over to the club. We basically played Russian roulette with the Sushi Combo chef choice… And I lost. Within a couple hours after eating that rogue sushi… I was violently ill with food poisoning. Passing out with each violent outburst of GI occurrence. Suffice it to say it was incredibly awful and like nothing I have ever experienced in my life. Maybe it was a one off incidence at sushi bomb… But I am keeping away from ALL sushi for quite a while longer… If ever again. Sorry Sake Bomb Bistro… But you let a bomb off in my gut!

I really like that there’s a nice sushi place to hang out that stays open late. However, the layout of the restaurant makes you feel claustrophobic or maybe it was the area where we were seated. Some of my personal comments: –The drinks here are strong, which I enjoyed. Definitely try the martinis, it was the highlight of my night.(Mango martini) noted** it is not the same as the Unilocal picture! — The salmon avocado salad is very tiny, if you plan on sharing, do order more than one. –The tuna tostada pizza is far too salty for my taste. It has a nice crunchy feel to it though. Do order it if you enjoy salty food. I wouldn’t order it again, I wasn’t able to finish it due to its flavor. –The service was slow, but our waitresses and waiters were very nice. –The hot and sour soup is not your typical hot and sour soup. It was very bland. –Tuna tataki was flavorless. It was cut into thick pieces and and felt like it was plain tuna. Overall, I’m a bit disappointed with my experience on the food here.

Went there tonight with my wife and it one of the worst meals in quite some time. Service was very slow and when the food finally came out of wasn’t much better. My sushi roll was topped with shoe leather it seems instead of shrimp and my wife’s salmon sashimi had skin on it wasn’t fresh. Never again.

Today we got takeout and I was so disappointed in the portion for price! Never get the tuna mango«salad». It is smaller than the size of my palm for $ 12 when I really expected a decent salad portion for this price. Very disappointing

Unreal food and amazing prices. I don’t do sushi l, but there was one I tried from Sake Bomb that I actually liked. Probably because it had no fish. Their crab rangoons are out of this world good! I usually can only have one or two but from Sake, if prob way a dozen or more. Great orange chicken, great rice, great everything!

I’ve only been once, but I fully intend to return. I heard that the people responsible for the wondrous gift that is kenichi were opening a new restaurant where haiku was and I resolved to try it. And it’s every bit as amazing as kenichi was so if you’re looking for good sushi in Worcester you need not look and farther.

Their orange chicken was not bad, too sweet for what i usually like and they serve too little but it had a good flavor after all.

Very friendly staff. Food is good. They make an oyster shooter that fantastic. Extensive bar selection. Though I did try it this visit, they do have Uni and Toro which most sushi bars do not carry. The atmosphere is a bit dark The outside looks nice except the side of the building appears to be painted with wired artwork. Don’t let this stop you from trying this place Pricing is average.

Went last weekend with 3 of my friends. We had several sushi rolls, soup, appetizer. EVERYTHiNG was delicious. Pink Lady roll is delicious. If you like spicy try the REDEYE Roll. Yum!!! The mango Mai tai is sooooo good. Service was great. We will definitely be back!

Passing through Worcester yesterday, my brother and I were looking for a good place to have sushi. We went on Unilocal and decided to give this place a try. It did not disappoint. We got there around 3:45 and the restaurant was pretty empty– that was probably due to the time of day. Our waiter was very friendly. We ordered three different rounds of sushi and didn’t have to wait long for him to come take another order or for the food. The sushi was amazing. I got the caterpillar roll and the eel and cucumber roll. Everything was fresh and well-presented. I also ordered a Mai Tai based on a previous Unilocal review and it was very strong– no skimping on the alcohol! The drink menu wasn’t very descriptive in regards to what was in each drink, which I am used to seeing on cocktail menus nowadays, but I don’t really mind that– one can always ask, and I was really there for the sushi(and that part of the menu is very descriptive). Overall, this place was well priced and the service and food were great. There is a small parking lot but it’s shared with another business and even at such a slow time we couldn’t get a spot– however, there is metered street parking(free on Sundays). I will definitely be back next time I’m in Worcester!
