So glad this came to Worcester though wish it was closer to downtown. Great chicken, great prices and quick service.

Very disappointed. I went there the first week when the opened up and it was great. The second time I went was a few months after and boy has everything changed. The biscuit wasn’t warm, the mac and cheese was cold. I went through the drive thru and the manager was the one in the window. He didn’t say anything to me. He also forgot to give me a straw and utensils. I had to go back in and make sure I got everything. Very disappointing that they went down so much after a good first time. I will not be returning anytime soon

Popeye’s has been consistent every time we have visited. It’s our easy go to when we don’t feel like making food at home or going through the motions of having a sit down meal and being served. We cannot speak for the interior as usually when we stop here, it’s through the drive thru. They have been efficient and friendly every visit we have made. Consistentacy definitely has made a difference. They seemed to have worked out the kinks from when they first opened. The chicken is waaaay better then KFC.

Wow okay. This place was good the first couple times I tried it. Not tonight though. The manager was doing the drive thru. He didn’t say a word to my boyfriend(idk why) he was being wicked polite. Our sandwich was supposed to be 2 pieces of chicken, and only was more bread than anything… And he didn’t give us our drink that came in a cup. Only the gallon.

Fast food heaven. Im a fan of Popeyes in general. I think the spicy tenders with that bomb breading and stinging kick make one delicious guilty pleasure. Finally there is one in central Mass! The spicy tenders were hot fresh and juicy. The fries were also fresh and crisp. The service was polite and efficient. The dining room was clean. Also they have one of those new coke fountain machines where you can make cherry sprite. Even the biscuit was fresh and soft unlike other locations Ive been to. What more could you ask for? I totally LOL’d at some of the negative reviews. They may have had growing pains in the very beginning however the operation seems polished now. Someone complained that they werent given a dipping sauce? Did you ask for any? I recommend Sweet Heat. Im

I thoroughly enjoy their breading it is the best thing about their chicken. Their biscuits are also excellent. My preferred sides are mac ‘n’ cheese and cajun fries. The mashed potatoes and coleslaw are not bad but aren’t on the same level as the aforementioned. Their tenders may be better than their pieces of fried chicken but the two are close and it would be impossible to go wrong. And as a tip make sure you get the ranch dipping sauce if you do get the tenders. I vastly prefer(for gastrointestinal reasons, not for flavour reasons) the mild breading to the spicy breading. If you’re considering getting fried chicken you would be well served by going to Popeye’s. It is one of the few fast food restaurants I don’t mind going to(Wendy’s and Subway being the others).

eww. used to love popeyes when i lived in the south-this one is horrendous. waited in the drive through for chicken tenders. thank God i looked at it before i took a bite-hair was intertwined and baked into the batter before it was fried… i almost threw up! Had to go inside and get a refund. Was offered a new meal but obviously i had no appetite. They said sorry and blamed it on a food prepper that didnt have a hair net on.

Not overly sure who’s to blame for this disaster of a fast food place. The state of Louisiana maybe? I’ve given it two tries and apparently 5 piece meals in louisiana are characterized by literally 5 whatever sized pieces are available. zero rhyme or reason. I just spent $ 10 for 5 mini chicky nuggys, a bite of mac and cheese, and a pretty crappy biscuit. The first time was the same thing. They must be making on average 95% profit considering the meal i just ate couldn’t be worth more than 75 cents. ALSO, something is up with that chicken meat. Weird texture/color. No flavor. I’ll justify 1 star due to the outstanding coke/ice.

A little disappointed, the portions were really small. The chicken was over cooked and dry. It’s a new location so hopefully over time they will get better.

I already miss it being Arby’s. The boy who waited on us was wonderfully pleasant, and the girls behind the counter with him were the dead opposite. We ordered a family meal, the chicken was over battered, rubbery, and some pieces were all batter with no chicken at all in them. We were never asked if we wanted dipping sauce, and when I requested it the girls just looked at me like I was bothering them. To top it all off, we never got our biscuits at all. Terrible experience. Won’t be back.

I stopped at Popeye’s to see what all the hype was about. As it turns out, it’s quite delicious! The two of us had two 5 piece tender, one with a side of mac and cheese and the other with the Cajun Fries. The tenders were good. Crispy and delicious. The fries were good, but not as zesty or seasoned as I would have expected with«cajun» in their name. They also put the fries under the chicken in the box, so they will get cold first. Sorry, it’s a pet peeve of mine! The mac and cheese was tasty. The 2 orders, with medium drinks, came to $ 19.28, which seems to be on part with KFC and Boston Market. It tastes much better than KFC! I would say an electronic board that states when your order is ready would be good, since the counter space is small and it is quite crowded. There’s only one drink fountain, and it’s a Coca Cola Freestyle machine. That’s a good thing, but the line to get a drink can be long, and it bumps into the people waiting to pick up their food. The drive thru is always busy, with it often extending to the Mill St lights.

Have never tried it before today. Went and got the 5 piece tenders with fries and biscuit. The chicken was undercooked and there was no dipping sauce, the fries seemed like they were under the heat lamp for too long but the biscuit was very good. Not worth the hype, I’d rather have kfc

The mashed potato is moist and good. But the fried chicken is not as good as I expected. It is a little dry. I don’t know why it is so popular.

The Cajun fries are great, however the chicken was bad. Chicken was deep fried with a cornflake like coating, I have heard some love it but just wasn’t for me. Comparable pricing to KFC and others, service was good and most importantly order was accurate.

Yuck! $ 14 wasted. KFC is a much better choice. We decided to try this new fast food restaurant that is causing traffic jams on park ave to see what the buzz is about. They screwed up our order and gave us Mac and cheese instead of mashed potatoes which was gross and tasted like plastic. The chicken is dried out and mostly breading. They gave my 3 year old spicy chicken in his kids meal and they don’t offer milk or any reasonably healthy drink options for kids. The cole slaw was basic not as good as other restaurants. The only thing we liked was the fries and the biscuit. Not worth going again!

Popeye’s has finally come to the Woo! This location was hopping tonight. The drive thru was 25 cars deep. Mr Bethany and I were behind 20 like minded individuals who wanted hot, fresh chicken. The employees were straight out but kept a smile on their faces. The lines moved quickly even though a steady stream of customers continued to come in. Parking is tricky when there is a long line at the drive thru. We parked on Park Ave, not sure if that’s allowed usually. There is a police presence in the Applebee’s parking lot, so no bueno. The good is just as good here as in Chelmsford or Providence. I hope that once the initial rush is over it will stay that way.
