You would not expect this place to be where it’s at. There was no dancing when we were there which made me quite sad. However it was very cute. I really like the vibe and the band however I wish the cover wasn’t 10 dollars which seems like a lot. The drinks were good especially in the mason jar. I wish there was a bigger bathroom because it had a really long line.

A quiet country line dance bar. Not a lot of excitement on a Friday night. No drinks on the dance floor. They REALLY need to strip and clean the bathrooms. Absolutely disgusting.

If you like to line dance, or like country music(you don’t necessarily need to like both!), this place will quickly become your second home. Biggest and best dance floor in New England. The night always starts with lessons and the party doesn’t stop until 2am. This isn’t just a country night, The Ranch is country every day they’re open, Tuesday-Saturday. It’s clean, and safe. Most of the staff are firefighters, EMTs, police, etc. As a woman it’s great to know that I can safely leave a drink at the bar while I go dance and not worry about it, and the staff is happy to walk you to your car when you leave.

My first visit to The Ranch was about a year ago coming February. A friend and I had drove out for the PBR event that was happening that weekend. Being one of the ONLY«country bars«in Worcester(I’m from the middle of no where western MA, we have plenty that offer the country atmosphere here) it was chosen or offered to be the«official after party of the pbr«that event. My friend and I had gone to dinner with about 15 of the riders after the event at Buffalo Wild Wings, it was probably 11PM by the time we left there. Some of them went straight to The Ranch while others of us hung back. My friend and I, along with 3 of the guys ended up showing around midnight? Maybe 12:30 to the«after party». We got in and proceeded to the bar, where we waited for at least 10 minutes to get a drink. We were told that we were not allowed to order shots, only mixed drinks or beer. I understand«last call«or being shutting off(I’ve bartended in some large bars in major cities), but none of us were drunk or even close to it where that was needed. What bar doesn’t serve shots past 12:30? What bar starts closing up shop at 12:30 with a pretty full house if they are open till 2AM? We ended up ordering two per person as the bar tenders had already started shutting down and cleaning up the bar. We would have been better off staying at BBW, where at least we were served in a timely manner and able to order what we wanted. Aside from being patrons of the bar, we were there WITH the people the party was thrown for and all of us were ignored standing waiting for drinks. I write this now because in 3 weeks the PBR is coming back to Worcester and I would assume safe to say that this place may be chosen as the after party again. I hope that the way things are operated have changed or improved since the last time I was there. We shall see. See you in 3 weeks!

Dance lessons every Wednesday night. $ 10.00 cover. You will be charged $ 10 whether you dance or not. And if you get there at 9 or 10pm, you still are charged a cover. FYI Mike below is the owner.

I love love love this place. Cheap drinks, friendly service and clean and safe environment. Clientele diverse of all ages and all walks of life — and very friendly. They are gay friendly and you don’t have to be closeted about it, so bring your better half whomever they may be. Cover charge insignificant since you get 1+ hour of line dance instruction. You’ll be on the dance floor in no time :) Get your cowboy(or cowgirl) on!

I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a better birthday. I went out this past Saturday to The Ranch & Saloon and had unreal time. The staff was very friendly and we were greeted by the managers at the door! The DJ was on point and even got a few requests! A little over 30 of us went and stayed until close! Cant wait to go back this weekend. Highly recommended.

The Ranch is like the«Cheers» of Country Music. Everyone knows your name and you become family. When I started going to the ranch I did not know any of the dances. Everyone there is more than wiling to help you out even after the lessons are over. Totally safe and inviting place, my daughter goes as well with her college friends. Nice to have an under 21 place where she can socialize and I don’t have to worry about her. The owner and his staff are always willing to walk you to your car which is a nice perk.

«The Ranch» is a great time, it’s a fun, clean, and safe place to go for some awesome line dancing! The dance instructors make sure that you’re able to follow along even if you’re new, the music is always blasting and playing the best country songs, and the staff is always friendly. If you are looking for a place to hang out on Friday or Saturday nights to just let go of the work week than The Ranch is the place for you!

I love this place. People of all ages go here and they are all so friendly. I have met the owner once and he was just as nice. They always promote their safety and will offer to walk you out to your car if needed which I think is one of their best features. If you’re a girl sitting with some other girls, some guys might come up to you and ask you to dance, which I think is great, it’s all in good fun! The dance lessons before hand are helpful. The one thing I don’t love is it is $ 10 every time(which isn’t horribly expensive) but also depending on the night you go, it is so not worth it. Beer on tap is cheap, they don’t have food but they have menu’s you can off of from places nearby. I have been thursday, friday and saturday nights and Friday’s have been my favorite so far. If you are doing a lot of dancing it does get hot in there! All in all a great safe place to go out and do something different.

Ever thought that Robin Thicke’s– Blurred Lines, Maria Carey– All I Want for Christmas and Aerosmith’s– Walk this Way could be line dances. Well matter of fact they are! New dances are taught and the oldie but goodies are still done so a little variety for every one! Dress is casual and its all ages. The owner is always there and for the past 7 years I have never seen anyone that had to be escorted because of bad behavior. Now with a second bar and expanded dance floor. More room for both dancers and people drinking and hanging out. You don’t have to be a fan of country or line dancing because a wide variety of songs are played and activities to do. There are dart boards and pool tables in the back of the club. BESTNIGHTHANDSDOWNISFRIDAY! Great for batchelorette parties or girls night out. But wait you can’t dance. well that’s covered also. If you show up before 8 there is a line dance lesson usually of 3 dances with an instructor and music. The instructors are personable and you can ask questions! But wait you don’t have a partner. no worries. That’s why its called line dancing. But there are some partner and mixer dances and everyone for the most part is friendly. Willing to tech or to learn. Its OK to have fun and shake your hips and put personality into your dancing. You can meet people easily and its very welcoming. So. now that you don’t have anymore excuses why you can’t go. I guess you just have to show up at 70 James Street in Worcester and check it out for yourself!

I passed this place 3 times because I didn’t know what I was looking for(and the area of Worcester kinda scared me), but it wasn’t all bad. Big parking lot across the street makes for easy parking. $ 10 cover to get in, but that was for mostly getting line dance lessons. If you like to line dance or get your country on, this is the place to do it. All walks of life come here, from college kids to older folks. I’m not much of a country fan, but it was enjoyable to watch. They had dart boards and pool, so bring your own darts if you’re into that. Drink prices were kind of typical, but hey, it’s a fun night.

Torn between three and four stars — went for the first time on a Thursday night during the holiday season. Thought there would be a few more people there, but I will attribute the lack of crowd to the weather(bad snowy roads that night). Loved the instructors — they were super helpful throughout the night even after the lesson. Music is a mix between country and modern, apparently you can line dance to anything these days. I would definitely go back and maybe I can keep up with the regulars! :)

Best place to hang out in Worcester! No need to dress up, just jeans and boots are fine! My husband and I had our wedding«reception» here and everyone had a blast! It was the best decision we made! The owners are super friendly and are there everynight. Line dancing is the best exercise I’ve ever done and definitely the most fun! Definitely recommend!

Since every club in Worcester has been shut down, skip the hassle and check this place out. Its right near Holly Cross. Its a little off the beaten path but worth it, with free pool and country music that switches over to a DJ at 11 on the weekend. Plus $ 2.25 bud lights! Yay! I’m a Fan. It’s 18 plus so everyone in your party can go. This is a great place to go out and have a no drama, good ol’ time. Get here early and line dance, or laugh at people line dance, what ever your pleasure.

A friend of mine introduced me to line dancing 7 years ago… thought I wasn’t going to like it but I l loved it! It’s a great place to meet people, it’s a great place to have alot of fun! If you want to lose any weight, this is the place to lose it! On Wednesdays and Thursdays nights, it’s beginner classes so teachers show you step by step how to line dance. Then after I think an hour and ½ of class then it’s free dancing. The people who come are so friendly that they show you steps even after class. A fun time with friends, a fun night of dancing and a fun night for lots of laughs. Go and enjoy!

People… do NOT laugh kthx I have this secret that not too many people know about and I would like to keep it that way ok? OK? I really love to line dance… ok I said it. I don’t know what I love about it. I don’t know why I love it… I just do. And if you do secretly or you are out of the closet, then this place is one of the best I’ve been to. Lost of room and lots of yeeehas! The people are all great and very friendly and I swear I have never had a bad night here. It’s a guarantee laugh outloud night! Take your friends and try it out, it’s well worth it.
