I wish this has ½ star ratings. So, I really wanted to love this place. So many choices, so much potential. But I really really question the freshness of the items due to my experience of finding mold on my piece of Savoy. As well as the sogginess of my mini cannoli. And the lobster tail the pastry shell was very crunchy in a unpleasant/stale way. Not like a crunch of freshly baked good. I also found the filling in the lobster tail to not be very smooth– but I saw traces of I’m assuming either the sugar/thickener that wasn’t incorporated well enough. I can say I did enjoy the ricotta cake. And the cigar was pleasant as well. But spending $ 20+ and getting home to see mold on something is discouraging me to come back.

Update!!! The owner e-mailed me personal message. They are moving to the Meadowbrook plaza on Rte. 1 in York. They should be open for Christmas. Yippee! All the best in your new location. See you soon So disappointed to drive by last night and see a sign«bakery for sale or lease». My husband and I nearly cried. Rossi’s had the best scali bread, lobster tails, and whoopie pies. I ordered a birthday cake for my sister in Sept. Her daughter said it was the best cake she ever had. Did I mention the pizza? I will sorely miss walking to town for a couple of slices and dessert. It was the real deal, north end style. RIP Rossi’s.

I can’t say enough good things about this bakery! My husband and I had our wedding cake done by Debbie and her husband. They were absolutely amazing, from start to finish they were on top of everything and made sure we were very satisfied. They made an Italian rum cake for us and every guest couldn’t stop raving about it!!! The prices are the best around compared to other bakery’s and they will make sure you are 100% happy! This is the place to go for all weddings and events!

If you want to buy 1 cupcake It is a perfect place. If you are planning a wedding or event stay clear!!! Very unorganized, poor communication, poor delivery and based on the mistakes THEY made we were promised a refund and the swindled out of$ 200 too!!! They need to get off the meds at Rossie’s … Based on their business practices and rude demeanor they might not be in business much longer … Because repeat business is the thing that keeps you going… Good luck!

Very good bakery for the area. Subtract one star for outrageous prices, over $ 30 for a ricotta pie, and subtract another star for poorly trained staff.

This place is a diet destroyer. The lobster tails looked so amazing, but I settled on almond cookies and cannolis. They were fresh, scrumptious, and had a nice homemade, filled-with-love kind of taste to ‘em. Finger-lickin’ good!

What a gem! We discovered this place four days ago and we have stopped in every day since. The cannolis are good but the lobster tails are even better. Yummy!

Thank you to previous reviewers, you were so right! When you walk in the door it smells just like a bakery ought to. My family loved the pastries & we’re sure to be back soon to try some others!

Absolutely love this bakery! Everything is delicious and the staff is wonderful! Cupcakes are delightful. Always several different«non boring» types. My favorite is strawberry milkshake. My son LOVES the lobster tails!!!

I am so happy we stopped in, I just wish we had visited on our first day of vacation, we would have had time to taste more of the wonderful offerings. Everything we had was as good as anything from the North End and although I would not call the prices cheap, I found the prices to be very reasonable compared to the average shop on this street. And they are open late, which was a great surprise as well.

Amazing, «North End Boston» pizza! Cupcakes and pastries are out of this world! We met the owners too, amazing folks that dedicate their entire life to making Rossi’s their top priority. Definitely add to your«to do list» for places to visit in York, Maine. :)

Lobster tails are a MUSTTRY. Great to know they’re originally from North End.

Tiramisu is a variation of an original desert of old, Zuppe Inglese, and was made up in this country in the 1960s. I would never rate anywhere on Tiramisu. I would rather taste all the other Italian pastries and treats that Rossis has homemade and comment on them. And they are wonderful! I too am used to Mikes pastry in the North End and Rossis rivals it. There interior can be a bit untidy but it is clean. And they are in a great part of town. York has never had a good piece of pizza but Rossis does. It can be eaten hot or cold, just baked or reheated and is fine. The owners and staff work very hard and are very pleasant. Keep up the good work!

I had a slice of mushroom pizza as well as a slice of pepperoni. The mushroom was tasty. Both were very heavy and without a doubt the greasiest pizza I have ever tasted. It’s not for me. My husband and I shared a cannoli, tiramisu and slice of rum cake. The cannoli was nothing special. I rate everything next to Mikes in Boston. the tiramisu was like a custard pie. Again nothing special. The rum cake was best of the three desserts. Although, I have had much better. Again, this is my taste. Some people think Rossi’s is fabulous! I don’t and I don’t need to return. I’m sure the tourist will appreciate Rossi’s. The staff was fantastic and very helpful!

Got my birthday cake from here. It was cookies and cream frosting and gold cake inside. It was very good, I’m so happy to see places like this opening up in downtown York.

After a late fall«staycation» in Maine we were heading back home and I was hungry. We stopped off in York hoping to find somewhere for brunch but alas — everything was closed for the season. Except for Rossi’s — we stepped inside to find a veritable smörgåsbord of Italian pastries, cannolis, cupcakes, pies and more. DELICIOUS!!! My chocolate dipped cannoli was sublime. Mr H’s vanilla cupcake was perfect. We didn’t get pizza but it was just coming out of the oven and smelled amazing. Highly recommend! Also — the lady who helped us was super friendly and happily answered all of my questions(there were a lot — I’m very indecisive) about every different pastry. Great service!

Truly amazing! The cupcakes are unique and exquisite, the cannoli is great, the fresh bread is one of the best we’ve had and so much more I could go on about. Very good variety. Don’t leave without a chocolate chip cookie!

Stopped in for coffee and pastry yesterday, and I was unimpressed. First: the coffee. I was disappointed that there only seemed to be one type of coffee available(not including decaf), which was served out of a carafe. No cream was available, only Coffee Mate. It was odd that an Italian bakery wasn’t offering espresso drinks. Second: the cannolo. I found the shell a bit soggy, and the ricotta to be weak. They were pre-filled and it showed. Third: the cupcake. I ordered a vanilla cupcake with Oreo frosting, and this was the best part of the experience. The cake was moist and flavorful, and the frosting was sweet without being overpowering. I heard the larger cakes were better, but I didn’t have a chance to sample one. I think if it focused on being a more Italian bakery, it’d do well. Since the bakery’s new, I hope it’s still in its experimental phase. If it worked on its Italian recipes, added a place for eating(either outside or inside), and served better coffee, it’d show real potential.
