Bay Haven Grill

I really wish I could love this restaurant. The food is good but the service is terrible. The service is so bad that we won’t sit and eat there. We order out occasionally but even then be prepared to wait. The restaurant is smokey as well which is kinda gross especially if we have the kids with us.

I absolutely love this place, but their mixed drinks are terrible. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like extremely strong drinks, but I’d like to feel that I didn’t just pay $ 6.50 for a glass of cranberry juice. I watched the bartender pour and they do measure, but the measure they use is smaller than a standard shot glass. I mentioned this, and she wasn’t fazed by it. I thought maybe I just got a bad bartender, and came back again. Different bartender, same results. Now I’m starting to understand why this place is always dead when I pop in.

Went for lunch… Nacho appetizers were awesome as was the hamburger! Service was great. Will be back!

First time at this spot… service was great, very attentive. The atmosphere was of a sports bar, with projector screens and TV every where.
I went here on a date night with my husband. The quality of food was superb and the amount/​quantity was overwhelming. Hahaha, we wound up having 2 more meals from leftovers.
They have poker games on some nights and other events going on.
We are fans, and will be returning back.
FYI: The restrooms were cleaned!

I was with a large group. Food was good, very good, better than I expected and reasonably priced. Service was good and we were taken care of. I would be willing to come back again for a more traditional dinner/​meal since so far I think they have something to offer in terms of variety and food quality. UPDATE: Been back recently and once again food quality was just great. I am becoming a big fan of the place.

We waited 15 minutes after being seated and still no server. As we were getting ready to leave she showed up with no mention of the wait (not overly busy either). We ordered the sirloin and the NY strip steaks, they both came with grilled vegetables and a salad. The salads didn’t come out until we reminded her. As bad as the service was the food made up for it, both steaks were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The mixed vegetables were great as well. We will try this place again.

Food is decent but the service at lunchtime is terrible. They had one employee waitressing, servicing and tending bar. She was like a lost ball in tall grass. If you aren’t in a hurry the food is okay but some of the items on the menu are out of place for a tavern like setup.

Will not go back based on the «service» alone.
Not sure how fair this review will be because it doesn’t even consider the food, since I never even got to eat anything. Walked in, waited to be seated. It wasn’t very busy. Two employees walked past us moving a table. Then back past us after having put the table down on the other side of the dining room. A waitress came out of the back to bring something to a table where a couple was eating. Nothing. Nobody said a word to us. We stood there, waiting to be seated, not a single worker said a word to us. After standing there like an idiot for easily more than 10 minutes, I went to walk out, but you can’t go out the door you came in, you have to walk all the way around by the bar, across the dining room to get to the door on the other side to exit. So, I walked all the way around. Nobody said a word to me. Nobody tried to stop me. I had wondered if I was invisible inside of some kind of surreal dream… I pinched myself… Nope. The service is just really that bad. Nobody cared.
I’m kind of glad that happened. I’m glad it caused me to leave. I cannot imagine that a place that cares so little about customers or potential customers has good food… And imagine the table service, amirite?
So, my rating… One Star. The Service was deplorable. The atmosphere was a bit lower end. The food was… Well, who knows? What a shame.

The place is dirty, and smokey. I guess if you’re looking for a place to get drunk, this is a go to. I have friends that work there that have told me about the food safety and I warn you, just avoid eating here. Beer is warm, service is not.

Ok I am updating my previous review because we have been back over and over again. I mentioned «don’t expect gourmet» in my prior review, but this place is top notch in terms of food. Bay Haven is delicious. Their regular menu food is so good. It is completely deceiving that they would have a vegetarian couscous paella that is AMAZING. The BLT with the basil mayo– OMG, so good.

Needs a complete remodel, better staff, and some lights that liven the dungeon atmosphere. Food is usually good, but beer isnt even sold in cold glasses. Visit and leave your review…

Quiet bar and grill with good food and a good selection of beer. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Love the food specials. Only downfall is the place is rarely busy, which for a bar is not necessarily a good thing. Overall, it’s a great local place to get fresh food (get the specials) and cold beer. Would rather spend my money here than in a chain.

The food is great and the service is even better. A family place during the day and bar at night… cant beat that! Well worth the visit.

I frequent this restaurant for several reasons. The food in awesome! The reviewer before mine had the boneless wings, which in my opinion are the best around (homemade sauces like mango habanero) but they are not a good example of what the menu has to offer (they are on the bar menu, not the lunch or dinner menu). I can never figure out what exactly I want to eat, sometimes returning the next day so I can try something else that had caught my eye. The wait staff is typically friendly and quite proficient. They tip share, so you get waited on by the whole staff and they back each other up like pros. The dodgeball and kickball parties are the only time you have to run a tab at the tables b/​c it’s a little crazy in there. It’s also locally owned and I like to keep it in the county if I can. The atmosphere has gotten better w/​the smoking kept in an enclosed pool room, not a smoking section. In the summer the smokers tend to keep it outside. They have some live music in there on weekends and weeknights on occasion, but mostly acoustic and not loud and obnoxious. My mom even likes the place, and she hates most everywhere we take her.

This place sponsors my dodgeball league. I wish it didn’t so that we could go some place better after our games.
This place is pretty low rent. Smokers might appreciate this place because there is a smoking section, which of course makes the entire restaurant smell gross. They have cornhole too, at least they did when I stopped by on a Thursday night.
They have standard American food: burgers, pasta, wraps, steaks, etc. I indulged in some bar food (boneless wings and potato skins) and they were both pretty sub-​standard. My buddy got a steak and it came with some nice warm bread.
We were sitting at some tables, not in the bar area, and the server told me that I either need to start a tab or pay as I go. I don’t have this happen to me very often (I don’t go to bars often), so I took a second to think about it… and she repeated herself in a manner that could have been a little nicer. That’s when my other buddy compared her to a soup Nazi…
