A secret gem but worth the price and time finding it. Its small inside, staff is friendly and food is fresh to order

This place is really clean, the waitress/hostess was very nice and helped me right as I walked in the door. I ordered some camarones a la diabla. I’ wish they were a bit spicer but overall they were good, I took them to go. Very fast and courteous service.

It’s adequate but nothing to write home about. I love the ramshackle building it is in and the feel of the place. The salsa and chips were delicious, and hit the spot. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and they seem to have a few vegetarian options on their menu. The sauce was ok on the enchiladas but not spicy at all, the beans and rice that accompanied my entrée were tasty. They service was good however and everyone was friendly.

I used to eat here a few years ago, and a couple of months back I dropped in with a friend. The place was deserted, and stifling hot. The waitress didn’t have time to listen to our order fully though, I think she had to go help the cook stir his drink at the bar. After several attempts at ordering, we got served. Oh, did we. The food had obviously been cooked a week(s) before, it had a sour, unappetizing aroma, and stringy, old chicken. My daughter refused to touch it. She’s two, but having gone through chemo, she has a sensor for bad food, and she loves to eat. A good thing we didn’t eat it, because when I took her to the restroom, there were feces splattered all over the walls, no soap, no paper towels, and no toilet paper. Mmmm, guess which restroom the employees use? Needless to say I pulled a Chef Ramsay on the owner. Goodbye to another Yuba City gem.

Taco, Taco, Taco. Best Taco’s in town! Go soft or go hard, I have yet to find a better Taco then at El Marino. Even the taco truck in Knights Landing cant touch these!

This place didn’t look like much from the outside. It was a very pleasant surprise. The food was very good! Chips and two types of salsa arrived right when we sat down. Good salsa. I ordered the crispy tacos. One carne asada and one pastor. Both very tasty. The meat was a little dry for me but it kept my tacos crunchy. It came with rice and beans… awesome and obviously home made beans. My husband got the burrito… very good. We also ordered a tostada. Only $ 3 and it was great. Just beans, lettuce, cheese and guacamole on a crispy tortilla. Yum. Dinner ended up being $ 30 with a beer. Great. dinner and we’ll definately eat there again.

From the outside this place looks like it should fall down on top of you while your eating and in hindsight it might have made for a better meal. Crazy architecture aside the Carne asada plate tasted like it had seen better days. The enchiladas were awful tasting with a very bitter red sauce no cheese and extremely dry meat inside. The only bright spot of the whole meal besides the building not falling down was the quesadilla my son ordered. Made from a huge flour tortilla and tons of cheese. very tasty

This is the only place I know of that has a Mexican buffet. The buffet selection isn’t huge, but once again, it’s the only place I know of that has a Mexican buffet. The buffet is $ 5.99 plus tax and a drink. You get your choice of tasty rice, re-fried beans, cheese enchiladas, salad bar, taquitos(pork?), fried tacos(pork?), and a mystery meat that is different throughout the week but usually tasty(chili verde, etc.). They have a decent selection of salsa for the chips and salsa that they serve. Apparently they don’t have a regular customer base because they aren’t quick to replenish the buffet line when my coworkers and I(approx 6 – 8 people) show up for the buffet. If you are going to show up in a group like that, call ahead. If you don’t, there will be people who won’t get to eat enchiladas.
