Nice wee nook out of the way of the city hussle and bussle. Only has two tables. We had to sit on the sofa. Had hot choc which came with brownie and home made marsh mallows. Was made from real choc. Authentic, thick and a bit bitter. Came with cream to sweeten it. Bargain at £6 for 2 of us. Also included a nice moist brownie with it. You can do chocolate making class for £40. Lasts 3 hrs I think !!. You taste cho and make 25 truffles each to take home. Groups are £25 each I think. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Quality chocolate at a steep price, but not outrageous. Allow the warmth of the chocolate embrace you as you enter the doors to the small little store tucked away. Splurge on the chocolate — it’s worth it! — Madagascar(50%) Chocolat(2£): AMAZING! Great little treat for yourself or a friend or family member. It comes in a delicious bar form that can be easily shared. — Chili Lime(2£): I would do without this one — definitely has a kick and a unique flavor, but a little too strange in chocolate form for my taste — Dark Chocolate Honey Clusters(4£): Unique treat that you should at least try! I’m not a huge fan of raw honey, but this offers such an interesting texture that makes you continue grabbing for more!

Chocolate sanctuary in Belfast’s city centre. Truly extraordinary hot chocolate, made with fresh cream and vegetarian marshmallows. It’s the sort of little tucked away place that will fill you with delight when you walk in.

Fancy chocolate is a weakness of mine, but the goods here are on another level, and considering its artisan chocolate, pretty good value too! I treated myself to a dark nut praline, and if you could ever describe a truffle as tasting wholesome, this is it. I was told by the proprietor that sugar wasn’t added, and I could taste that in the truffle. The almond and hazelnut came across really strongly with the chocolate and I had to fight not to turn around to go and get more. A real treat, and I’ll definitely be back for more.

WOW, just WOW!!! Called in here with my wife a couple of weeks ago while it town with her and a friend visiting us. She’d known about it for a while and hadn’t tried it yet, so when we found ourselves on Chichester Street with 20 minutes to kill, it seemed like the right time. Although its right there on a main street the name is not that descriptive of the business and as you cant see directly in as the shop front is below street level many people don’t seem to know what it is. What it is, is one of the nicest most exquisite chocolate shops ever. The chocolates are all made right there on site and in sight. The kitchen is at the back and the chocolate goodies can be seen at various stages of production. No oompa loompas sadly and I’m not sure if the chocolate is mixed by waterfall but the job is completed to perfection none the less. What sets it apart even from other quality boutique chocolate shops is the range of chocolates includes more unique and interesting flavours that I’ve not seen anywhere else. So go on treat yourself, nip down the steps next time you pass and get a couple to take home, you’ll be doing well to get home without eating them!

Um… why did no one tell about this place sooner? I happened across it one day, and while I didn’t have time to call in, I made a point to put it on my list of places to get to as soon as possible. I finally made it the other day and I was actually blown away. The smell of the chocolate is almost over powering(but in a good way) and the chocolates themselves, while expensive, are dreamily good. I’m now officially a convert to Co Coture… really must tell the boyfriend, just so he doesn’t accidentally buy me regular old box of Milk Tray or anything!

I’m rarely ever in this part of Belfast, but I had come with one of my friends to a consultation appointment for extensions in a hair salon on Chichester Street, and we got there only to find out we had arrived an hour too early… typical! We decided to go outside and have a stroll around to pass the time. As mentioned, this wee place is located below ground level, so it could be very easily bypassed, in fact we nearly did! We took a look inside out of curiosity and pure surprise that it was even there. The shop is like a gorgeous little boutique, and the range of chocolates they have on offer is immense. Everything you could ever think of, including many other weird and wonderful concoctions. I decided to get a little box of chocs to take away, but they almost looked to good to eat. The packaging is simple but obscenely stylish and would make an excellent present. They are quite expensive, the small box I bought cost me over a fiver, but it’s well worth it!

It’s very easy to walk by this place everyday and have no idea it’s ever there. I’ve been doing this for a long time and it’s heart breaking to think of all the times I could have popped in and sampled something truly unique to the city. Belfast isn’t known for its chocolatiers, presumably because this is the only one and its in the basement of an old tenement! Inside there is lots of choose from. You can build your own special box or choose something from the prepared selection, but be warned! You will spend a lot of money in here if your not careful.

Co Couture is in one word delicious! A hidden gem in the heart of Belfast. All of the chocolate is made in store which means that the second you walk through the little door oyu’re hit with the smell of what can only be described as liquid chocolate! Its how I imagine Wonkas factory must have smelt! The chocolate itself ranges from individual pieces, to bars and even mini truffle cupcakes(yes, really) and while prices are high, they’re what you would expect from a specialist chocolatier. And most definately worth the money! The individual little truffles and chocolates are 70p each and come in a little box sealed with gold foil and you can also purchase bags of chocolates priced from £2-£4−50 and bars from £2-£4. A fantastic wee idea for gifts! It is here I discovered the Champagne Truffe, which really has to be tried to be believed… they are divine! I bought(and ate) six! And will be going back for more! Most definately worth a visit for those chocolate lovers out there and also a good idea for a pressie for your lovely lady guys! Most definatley a sensational treat for all!

Oh my word. Co Couture sounds like it should be an upmarket boutique, but it’s actually an upmarket chocolate shop. And boy is it good. Luxurious, expensive, but exceedingly good. I had accidentally stumbled across this place whilst looking for a restaurant in one of those tourist magazines on Belfast. When I noticed that there was a chocolate shop and factory located on Chichester Street, I was completely dumb-founded. Where, I asked myself, the heck is there a chocolatier on Chichester Street? And why, I further questioned, did I not know about it?! Curiosity got the better of me, and I went on a mission to find Co Couture. I very nearly didn’t find it, simply because it is located in the basement of a multistory building, right beside O’Brien’s sandwich bar. Talk about a hidden gem! The assistant was very pleasant and helpful, informing us that all the chocolate is made on the premises, and they have only been open from December time. That’s a whole seven months I hadn’t known about this place. Seven months! And this comes from a girl who nearly ate her weight in chocolate whilst holidaying in Brussels. Well, nothing was stopping me from indulging in some more of the gorgeous dark sticky stuff… yum yum yum. I selected a milk chocolate and honeycomb bar for £2(yes, I know it’s expensive, but what do you expect?), and six little chocolates at 70p each(not a thing I’d do everyday). These six chocolates were transferred into a cute little box, with a bit of gold leaf pressed on top for good measure. I had chosen two dark(72% cocoa is just about right for me), two milk and two orange. And they were all scrum-diddly-umptious. The milk chocolate literally melts in the mouth, and has a delicious malt texture to it. The dark chocolate is perfectly dark, and the orange was just delicious. Perfect for a treat, or a gift, Co Couture’s award-winning chocolates are seriously first-class. I know where I’ll be heading the next time I’m feeling down… Better start saving first mind you.
