I’ve heard so much about Dragon Rendezvous, so I wanted to try it. It went like this: Service = excellent, staff are delightful, polite, welcoming and lovely. Food = a bit disappointing to be honest. I had salt and chilli tofu which was ok. I ordered it with boiled rice and a bowl of quite watery, bland, tasteless satay sauce swimming with garlic and sliced chilli. All I tasted overall was garlic, there were huge amounts of chopped garlic flung over the tofu and swimming through the satay sauce. I really wanted to give this place a proper chance, thus I also ordered a dessert of banana fritter, which I thought would save the day. Unfortunately it was quite bland and tasteless, even though it was served with lashings of chocolate sauce, cream and ice cream. Drink = glasses of wine defined by white, rose or red. Went for white and it was average. Won’t rush back to be honest…

Very good for a place to sit in and have a meal at after 2 in the morning. Food was great, beer kept on coming, something you would not experience anywhere else in the city at this time. The other side of the coin(when I made a visit whilst sober) is that the food is your usual Chinese food, decent but nothing spectacular. I would definitely recommend the dragon after a night out and you and the crowd you are with fancy a big eat with some more drinks. It would tick all the boxes.

A staple of Belfast post booze up food establishments(or just late night snacking) DR is quite frankly incredible. Great food — the starter platters to share are awesome. Fair portion sizes for the cost and they’ll generally help out with requests. Can buy booze if you’re feeling inclined to continue the partying, and given the extended open hours that’s often the case! Can get a bit rowdy late on in the evening but the staff generally find a way to deal with the worst of situations that come with being really the only sit down Chinese open so late. Friendly accommodating staff, they love hearing people stories and my claim to fame is being featured on their Facebook page. I’ve made it!

What a place! At Dragon Rendevous you can have a sit down Chinese meal at 3:30am. This is perfect if you meet a girl in Laverys and want to proceed to the first date on the same night — trust me it’s been done. Dragon Rendevous can get pretty rowdy after the local clubs and pubs kick out and you may have to duck and dive to avoid the flying prawn crackers but it’s totally worth the risk if you want top quality Chinese food after hours — skip the takeaway and dine in at Dragon Rendevous.

Great way to end a night! We ate there after going bar hopping around 2 am. Food was good but most importantly the crowd was fun and lively! The restaurant was packed and we were there until about 4 am.

The old reliable Dragon Rendevous is one of the only late night eating establishments in Belfast, a city unfortunately known for shutting absolutely everywhere waaaay too early. I was in here recently with a famous poet, no really! I was doing an interview with John Cooper Clarke and his manager took my friend and I to dinner– it was all strictly profesh like. There were 5 of us and between us we ordered half the menu! We all shared so I had a sample of the crispy seaweed– delish!, noodles, brocolli with garlic, stewed aubergines in a spicy sauce and some spare ribs. They were all really good. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and not too overbearing. A great place to come if you need a late night bite. Of course theres always the danger of being seated near some older drunken men hugging each other and expressing love for one and other, as I witnessed on another occasion here, but the place is big enough to avoid those type of characters!

We’ve all been there. You’ve just been out on the town and thinking about going home, but you are feeling a bit peckish. Usually, the options are: Wait until you get home before attempting to make something and hoping you don’t do something silly like setting the house on fire in your drunken stupor — or — get a takeaway and furiously try to wolf it down in th cold street before your taxi shows up. That was me, until I heard about the Dragon Rendezvous from a colleague. It’s great, they stay open until the early hours, with cozy, comfortable surroundings with big TV screens, excellent staff, EXCELLENT food, and all very reasonably priced. Oh, and they are fully licensed premises too, so you can have ‘one for the road’ before you go! I think this is the only place like this in Belfast(that I know of) so good for them, hopefully it’s a sign of things to come.

Dragon Rendezvous puzzles me. I’ve been a few times, but always at three in the morning after a shift behind the bar, and it’s always been busy. I realised that I didn’t have a photo of it for the purpose of this review, so I went at 4pm… And it was closed. It’s located in Belfast’s excuse for a Chinatown — one street, called Donegal Pass. The interior is very nice, but here’s what puzzles me — you can sit in to eat, and have a beer at any time of the night. Not cans of beer that you’ve brought in yourself, but a cold bottle of Tsing Tao that the waiter will bring over for you. It’s like the management’s clock is twelve hours out of sync. The food is usual Chinese fare. That statement sounds unfair, but I’ve been fortunate enough to have eaten what people from Szechuan province have grown up on, and it ain’t deep-fried sweet and sour pork balls. Last time, I ordered kung po prawns, and the radioactive-looking orange sauce was so sweet I thought I was going to cry. An unusual dining experience, is Dragon Rendezvous. Better than staggering out of the pub and into the nearest kebab house, anyway.

Dragon Rendevous is a Chinese restaurant with a difference! We were walking home from the limelight one night aiming to stop for munchies on shaftsbury square and were surprised to find this place still in full swing at 2am! They weren’t just offering take out but the full sit down dining experience! It was great as we sat for a meal and by the time we were done the rush hour for taxis was over and we got a lift home quickly too! The food was really good too and we both went for bog standard beef curries with prawn crackers, ribs, spring rolls and prawn crackers(yes, we’d had afew) and it was all great! I’d recommend this place simply for the late night opening!

I can’t even believe I’m writing this review. This place is one of Belfast best kept secrets, so do me a favour and don’t tell anybody, ok? First things first: I confess that I have never seen this restaurant in the daylight. The simple reason being that its main draw is the fact that it serves food until 3.30am. I don’t mean that you can get a curry half and half in a polystyrene dish that you eat at the bus stop until 3.30am. No, I mean you can leave the pub at 2am, head round to the Dragon and have a proper sit down(fully licensed) meal until 3.30am — how good is that? This might be fairly common in other cities(and if it is, I apologise for seeming so provincial), but this is — to my knowledge — the only place in Belfast City Centre that offers this service. The food itself is nice, if a little overpriced for what it is. That said, I gladly pay it for having somewhere more civilised than the aforementioned bus stop to quell the munchies! Definitely worth a visit, but seriously, keep it to yourself!

Went here after a show with a big crowd. They open until really late(probably to catch people with the munchies spilling out of the local bars and nightclubs) so it was great that they could accommodate us so late in the evening. There was a bit of a panic when we arrived because I’d made the booking for 30 people and the girl on the phone had thought I’d said THIRTEEN. Bit of a difference! Fortunately they had the space available and quickly organised some extra tables, and managed to put us all together — much to the relief of the other patrons I would imagine. The food was excellent, I had the honey chilli chicken and it was just spicy and sticky enough — and all the food came out together which was no mean feat considering how many of us there were! The staff were very helpful and the drink was flowing. A good night had by all.

I have good memories of this place, my friends and I followed a rumor that there was a late night Chinese restaurant, so we stumbled out of the Limelight and hunted it down. The food was good, they sold alcohol, and there was a very entertaining Mandarin soap opera on the T.V. screens. Great if you and your friends want to have a feast, but aren’t drunk enough to go to the Emerald. Lots of room too, and also good if you want a cheap meal out with friends at any time.
