If I had a sandwich shop, I would want one just like Flour Power, it is practically perfect in every way. I have eaten in here on more occasions than I could count and have loved every one. I’ve even gone out of my way to come here on occasion, and for a very good reason. The breads they use are so soft and fresh and delicious, you can get possibly any filling known to man, and they certainly aren’t stingy with the fillings, they are huge! They have a selection of daily soups available, which are equally delicious, and the Pièce de résistance — their sausage rolls. Normally I never eat pork of any kind, but I make an exception for these… they are unbelievable. Definitely worth forgetting about the healthy eating campaign for a day! If you can’t make it round to the shop, they also do deliveries, and their prices are also extremely attractive!

I really have struggled to find better sandwiches in Belfast! This place is truly awesome store is small with not too many seats but the majority of customers come in for take out. I sat in as it was raining and I was dying for a cuppa. I got an amazing Cajun chicken sandwich with salad ans some tea and boy are they not afraid to pack it all in! The chicken was properly seasoned and tasted especially good and their tea was great too! It has a really nice relaxing atmosphere even though it’s often very busy and their Tuna baguette is also a big winner for me and pretty big too so don’t come in for a light bite as you’ll not get that here! nom, nom, nom…

As a student of Queen’s university, my girlriend and friends and I had a system that on each tuesday and thrusday of the week we would try somewhere new to eat. My oh my, how sad I am that I only discovered this place at the end of term! The shop is located about 50 yards from Shaftsbury square, so is handy to anyone living or operating around Botanic or the Dublin road. If you are wanting a luxurious place to stay in, think again. The inside is small, but has sitting room for about ten, with seats outside for whenever the weather is good, or when people are feeling particularly brave in the Belfast winter! However most people are going to be taking food away, a dn that is where Flour Power comes into its own. it makes its delicious fillings on site. For example, it’s succulent chicken tikka is real marinated, high quality fare compared to the guff from a tub you get in most places! There are a wide range of wraps, baguettes, rolls, salads and melts on offer, and the courteous staff, controlled by the owner Jonny will provide you with what you need with an infectious warmth and genuine enthusiasm. The business name is also a beautful pun. That is for me the icing on a most delicious cake!
