Chocolate, every girl’s dream, and when it comes to special occasions, you expect chocolate to be there, like a special VIP guest. Therefore, Thorntons in Castle Court has the always to all your chocolate queried questions. Though a small and sometimes poky shop, depending how many people it contains, it provides big tastes and big satisfaction. It has a vast range of chocolate’s from normal small truffles to caramel filled goodies and hard bite toffee’s. When I go shopping down at Westfield I make sure to get my fill of the Thorntons ice-​cream with chocolate cone, sprinkles and bits inside the ice-​cream. Mmmhmm, making my mouth water even thinking about it!

Thortons is what it is I guess. That may seem like a slightly obvious comment to make but that doesn’t make it any less true. It is a chocolate and general sweet shop that is a great place to go and pick up a gift for someone you don’t really know that well or you just can’t be bothered putting in the effort to think up something personal or original for.
The sweets themselves and all are nice enough if you like that sort of thing, I’m just not a big fan of this kind of stuff in general. But I’m sure a lot of other people are, which probably explains why I have given this place a lower mark than most.
You can’t really go wrong with this place, the staff are dead on as well.

Thorntons in one word rocks! They do the most amazing chocolate! And something I never knew, until I received one, is that they will inscribe names or messages onto things made out of chocolate, to give them that personal touch! I received a chocolate campaign bottle with ‘Happy Birthday Magz!’ written on it-​so thoughtful! They do chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs too during that time of year!
The newest thing which makes Thorntons even more amazing is their chocolate fountain! Oh Yes! You can have it poured over strawberries and ice cream or have marshmallows dipped into it! It is too good!

Thorntons is a cracking shop. This one in Castlecourt is probably the first one I ever went to and still is my regular stop when it comes to gifts that don’t really need much thought! It’s a deceptively big shop, as it stretches far back into the walls of the shopping complex.
The best thing about this store is its chocolate fountain. For a small amount of your hard earned cashed you can get a box of choc covered strawberries which are always welcome in the part of the world known as my belly. The prepacked selections are a perfect gift if your in a rush.

Did someone say chocolate? Oh yum, yes please! This exquisite little chocolate shop sell the most delicious of delights ranging from milk, dark and white chocolate in single bars or lovely big boxes filled with the most delightful of centres. This shop becomes insanely busy around the special gift giving times, so beware, you have been warned! Most of the time though it is quite quiet, but not overly so, you usually see someone after one of the yummy chocolates or one of the tempting ice creams. If you’ve never tried one of these before you must go right now and get one. I used to love nipping in here for an after work treat and usually this meant indulging in one of their appetising ice creams. Ah, Thorntons, how I love you. Yummy yummy!
