This is one of my favourite Chippy. I hardly go to one but when I do, this is where I go. When I’m on my way home and need grab food to take away, I pop in here for kebab. The place is cleaner than most take away, has shiny metalic cladding in and out. By the counter you’ll find all the quick take away food. Sausages, scallops, fried chicken and fish. The other section at the end is where you’ll find all the tikkas and kebabs(lamb and chicken) Their kebabs are good, chicken tikka and chicken kebab are my favourite. The only thing I like are their kebabs. I never had good fried chicken in any chippy I’ve been to. Fish also depends on batter and sometimes it’s good. Most take away will have the tikkas and kebabs already cooked and they put in microwave when you order. I hate that. They have their kebabs fresh and cook when you order. This will take about 5 minutes to cook, but It is worth the wait. Don’t be in a hurry and think you’ll be out in few minutes. Naan bread is made to order, so you get it fresh and hot. Chips are fresh too, always hot. Chicken tikka is tasty, especially when you have it on a fresh naan, salad, with sauces ontop. Can have it with chips if you don’t want naan. Just make sure you tell them if you don’t want anything on your food(sauces, salt on chips) when you order or as it’s getting prepared. They try to do things quickly. I’ve had few times where the guy will ask if I want salt or vinegar on chips(I never do) as he is putting salt and vinegar. Before you get to say yes or no, it’s all over the chips. But I do get them to give me fresh chips after with no problem. That happens if place is busy. They have amazing sauces to put on your food ir side. Mint sauce, chili, garlic mayo and more. As for the other stuff on menu, that’s where I have my problems with every take away shops. Fried chicken and chicken fillet that goes on burger, seem to be there for awhile and just reheated in microwave or grill. Same goes to sausages and fish(sometimes you get it fresh from fryer). It’s a good take away shop, give it a try. Prices are not too bad either. 3.5 stars

I can’t speak for the quality of the meaty kebabs but If you are a vegetarian, believe me, this is one of the best places for you to eat a kebab. In most of the takeaways that I’ve been to a veggie kebab simply consists of salad in a pitta bread, but King Kebab stuff it with a kind of pakora which gives it a lovely consistency. The taste is great, the spices are delicious, just right and the price is very cheap. They make the kebab in pitta bread or a naan(the naan is my favorite). The chips are also very good. It’s my favourite local chippy by a mile.

King Kebab is situated in Kings Heath. They have great competition with other kebab retailers in the area. The question is, is King Kebab the King? The shop in itself is well decorated with a chrome and red style frontage and interior. Toilets are available in this kebab house however they are rarely functional. King Kebab has adequate seating, beating all of their rivals on this front. The décor is pleasant and looks very clean. The facilities behind the counter also look very clean and hygienic. The food is cheap and I would recommend the chicken kebab over anything else, it is King Kebab’s specialty. The bread is soft; the meat is well marinated and is not too dry. They also sell everything else you would expect at a kebab shop and they do these varieties pretty well. They offer a wide range of sauces to smother your kebab in. I would recommend King Kebab for all kebab connoisseurs out there, not to be missed.

When it comes to Kings Heath chip shops the biggest decision one has to make is quite simple. King Kebab or High Tide! Whilst High Tide might see more traffic and is known for having the friendlier staff. If you’re looking for the added benefit of a seat and table, it’ll have to be King Kebab. And of course, King Kebab has a lot to live up to with such a name and the facts play out for themselves. It’s a spicy meat treat you desire, King Kebab has more on offer, whilst High Tide only offers the Donner kebab, King Kebab has marinated lamb and chicken on skewers and will also serve it in a Naan bread. High Tide wins it for atmosphere and certainly feels more of a chip shop, but if you after a real chunky kebab then you’ll have to cross the road.

King Kebab has stiff competition when it comes to serving the best fish, chips and other grease-laden foodstuff in the Kings Heath area. If you are swayed in its direction to satisfy an impulse of curiosity, aroused by the possibility that you might discover the finest chips known to man — you’ll be disappointed. They’ll serve you chips, donner kebabs and a maybe a saveloy if there’s one knocking around. King Kebab is a chip shop that serves chips(and stuff) — nothing more, nothing less. So if you’re just in search of chips(and stuff) then here’s an option. Keeping in mind that it’s not intended to be a fine-dining experience — there’s not a great deal more you can ask of a chip shop is there? Now I’m no chip connoisseur, but I’ve had better.

Best Kebabs I’ve tried in Brum, excellent value for money and nice chips too. always seems clean and everything is reshly cooked. Would have been given 5 stars but for the fact that every other sale seems to be rang through the till as ‘0’ raising suspicions.

King kebab makes the best kebabs ever! their meal deals aren’t bad either, you can expect to pickup a medium sized portion of fish and ships for around £1. Staff are polite and efficient, althoug it can take an age to get served sometimes, as there are long queues or they have to freshly warm the kebabs! The menuis clearly highlighted at the top, but some of the food is displayed through the perspex around the till!!! Its has recently had a refurbishment that has meant more and better seating arrangements, and better lavatory facilities. These always have handwash you can use, and are clean and hygienic! Overall, a delicous place to eat in or to take-away!

This place is heaven on earth. The staff are very pleasant(lovely jubbly) and there are always enough staff so you don’t have to wait longto be served. They offer a wide variety of food including all sorts of different kebabs which are freshly made. The food is well priced and the shop is very clean as it has been recently refurbished. There are planty of seats if you want to eat in and there are toilets for the customers to use which again are clean but away from the food area. The chippy is open till all hours so even when your hungry at 2or 3 in the morning there is a chance it is still open. Long may this place stay open.
