We had our Christmas party here for the past 2 years and as a result of said party I have ended up staying here. Compared to other hotels it feels very grand, the décor is more traditional and well. shiny. It’s like a bit of a maze inside even when your sober, but the rooms themselves whilst seem of good quality also look dated. But I do like modern rooms — there is a towel warmer that I recall my drunk friend knocking off the wall(I fixed it don’t panic) The staff are super helpful, very friendly and do try to go the extra mile for you. We had a set menu for our function and I can’t comment on regular dining it was tasty and if anything over generous for the money’s worth. I would sum this up with I wouldn’t mind staying here but due to the cost and dated rooms it wouldn’t be my first choice.

A nice hotel, located super centrally(although everything in Birmingham is close), and a really beautiful exterior /entrance way, through what feels like a mall. My bedroom overlooked New Street so was a little noisy. Not excessively, but I wasn’t there on a weekend. The bed was a big firm and the quilt was very thin and small. I’ve never actually noticed a quilt being bad quality in a hotel before, but this felt like a really measly small quilt. I was cold! The staff were friendly, the rate was reasonable, and its really close to Birmingham New Street train station so handy for a mid-week business stay.

This hotel occasionally hosts events and weddings. But as a hotel alone the staff almost ruin the venue. They seem very vague and less than helpful. Speaking to other people have also visited here seem to back that point up. The workers lack in communication with one another and give a somewhat cold reaction to you with little conversing and hardly any acknowledgment. The rooms themselves are decent, with a comfortable bed a tidy setting. Not the best hotel I have stoppped in. Wouldn’t be so bad if the staff were encouraged to interact and become a little more enthusiastic with paying customers.

This is a lovely hotel in a very convenient location. I was lucky enough to get a large quiet room, complete with two double beds and a bath which was lovely to unwind at the end of the day. The friend I had gone with wasn’t quite so lucky and ended up with a much noisier room facing onto New Street. The décor of the hotel is slightly mis-matched with the type and colour of carpet changing throughout the hotel which was particularly noticeable if you went down the stairs rather than the lift. The bar and restaurant are expensive, I suggest you use other local facilities especially if not on expenses! One thing to warn about it that they routinely put feather pillows on beds and as I’m asthmatic this wasn’t a very nice discovery at 4 am, waking up in the middle of an attack.

Have stayed here a few times. have been lucky on occasion to get a larger room which is very comfortab eindeed. other times have had room above New street station with all night traffic. Staff were very helpful in sorting out the problem then. Staff generally very good and cant compliment the breakfast enough. The bar is a bit limited in choice, but there are many places locally if you are looking for a wider choice.

This is a good hotel in an excellent location, next to the railway station and shops. Rooms are quiet unless you are getting one of the rooms overlooking the Tesco Express store, where there are lorries arriving at silly o’clock in the morning. Rooms are nicely decorated. Have a look at their website, they usually offer various weekend breaks, for example a romantic one including dinner, champagne and chocolates. Have stayed there 3 times and will use them again next time I go.
