Passage To India

Check your bill! we had a lovely meal there (4 of us) but when the bill came I quickly added it up in my head and it didn’t seem to be correct.
My wife then got her phone out to use the calculator application and when he saw her doing this he came running over and said that it wouldn’t add up as there was a service charge added on which hadn’t been shown anywhere on the bill. This was despite it clearly saying SERVICE CHARGE NOT INCLUDED. It was very disappointing as they had clearly done it deliberately and didn’t expect us to add it up and probably hope we would add another 10% on to it when settling it.
It completely spoilt what was a good meal and we walked away feeling like they tried to cheat us and for what benefit? we didn’t then leave a tip which we would have, we now won’t go back and we will tell our friends and people that read this about it. Without forgetting of course it is illegal to actually do what they did!
