Awww! What to say about the Pavilions? I think that it doesn’t get enough credit as I think it should. They do have after all(maybe I’m wrong) a bigger HMV than the HMV franchise in the Bullring, a huge Waterstones store and of course, their food loft. Their food loft used to be so busy, like completely packed out. But now that we’ve had the Bullring, I think people have forgotten about the Pavilions, which is sad! I like to go there from time to time and pull the routine that I did when I was younger. This being; dining in and then losing myself in a good book and gander at their Waterstones’ collection. Their food loft caters different types of foods, from Chinese, traditional fish and chips, jacket potato’s, and Italian cuisines. However, because not so many people dine here anymore their food stands don’t offer out their whole menus anymore. But I would still say check it out, because it could be the perfect chilled and quiet place to dine whilst on your lunch break.

I took a seat in the fourth floor Food Loft, and enjoyed the view of the building from this interior height. With a wide choice of delicious, freshly prepared food served on real crockery without a plastic knife in sight, it’s worth a visit if you are shopping in the City Centre. They have Druckers Vienna Patisserie, coffee shop. Natural Choice. Vegetarian dishes, salads, pies and pancakes. Harpers-Traditional British meals. Café Napoli-Italian hot and cold snacks. Ranch House-American and Tex-Mex dishes to take away. Fat Jackets-Jacket potatoes with an assortment of fillings. Stir Crazy-Traditional, fresh, light and delicious Asian cuisine. I chose the Natrual Choice Salad at 3.50, it was full of superfoods that kept me going throughout the day. With more competition in the area, the food court here has gone into decline somewhat from what it used to be, but I still like to come here.

Pavilions Shopping Centre is one of the landmarks of Birmingham City Centre. I like its classic look that has been untouched for decades, which juxtaposes the adjacent contemporary style of the Bull Ring Shopping Centre. It reminds me that Birmingham is full of variety. And«variety» is the best way to describe the spacious food court on the top floor of the Pavilions. There is ample seating, even on busy weekends. And best of all, you have so many eateries to choose from with various cuisines ranging from traditional English, to Chinese and Mexican. They even have dessert options if you’re just looking for a light snack with tea. The décor is reminiscent of the 60s era with plastic and pale seating and tables. However the staff members do their best to maintain the area. The food is fairly cheap and you have a fine selection.
