This Prezzo is fine, good standard of food(as far as Prezzos go?), nice open kitchen… the best thing about Harborne’s Prezzo is the beautiful old school building it inhabits, with amazing high ceilings and windows. I was unfortunately brought the wrong dish, but the server and kitchen were very quick to fire and bring me what I’d actually ordered right away… kudos on correcting the order quickly! Service was pretty attentive. Solid option for no-fuss Italian food on High Street, though if you’d rather support independent restaurants there are better options in the neighborhood!

We came here on a Saturday night with our 11-week newborn to have a nice dinner and relax, but it was so noisy and loud that I went home with a headache. I ordered penne with salmon but I was a bit disappointed, it was too much and very heavy. I would give it another try maybe another day and another time and try some pizza instead.

Tasty food and really cool building, but slow service twice in a row. Don’t eat here in a hurry. Still waiting for my pizza as I write this…

Prezzo is the current haunt for my elderly nan and auntie, every Sunday the pop along for their tea with various family members depending who will drive them. This Sunday we said we would take them along. Located on Harbourne High St, it is contained within the old refurbished school house, which has been sympathetically restored which works perfectly as a restaurant. There are a couple of other restaurant also contained within the building including Urban Coffee Company and the Boston Tea Party. There is a useful car park to the rear with a direct walkway to the court yard and entrance to the restaurants. There is disabled parking, however, it is still quite a walk to the entrance itself, but the walkway between is lit. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the meal. Unfortunately, we were seated in the left hand section of the restaurant which turned out to be a wind tunnel every time the door opened. The menu offers a selection of pizzas, pasta dishes and lighter options with less calories. We had VIP pizza which is the classic thin crust Italian pizza, we had specially made mushroom risotto, meatballs and spaghetti, fishcake salad and Carbonara. All meals arrived within good time, however one was cold and was sent back. The Pizza and risotto looked best. Again unfortunately whilst having our meal the bottle bin was take out through a door behind us which was both cold and noisy. Overall it was a fairly pleasant experience the friendly and helpful staff and voucher made up for it for some of it short comings, however, there really is not excuse for cold food.

I went here on a Wedneday night expecting it to be pretty quiet, I was wrong as it was absolutely packed. I’ve walked past the restaurant a few times and always wanted to go in. The layout is so spacious but interesting. I was really pleased when I found out they expect Tastecards so I had to go. I tried the Lobster and Kind Prawn pizza and it was amazing, it had its own special bechamel sauce not to overpower the lobster. It was a big pizza and I’m very glad I only had a shared starter. I would give it 5 stars but we did wait a long time to be served our main so I had to take that into account but after that the service was quick.
