Zizzi Restaurants

I went here last Sunday for a meal with a large group of friends — some were staying only for drinks and some for food but it went well. I arrived at 5.30pm and it was quiet but it got busier into the evening, filling up with a wide variety of groups from families, to large groups of friends to couples on a night out. The staff were great, which can be difficult when you have such a large group but they handled it very well. They informed us when the food would be out and sorted out our drinks orders quickly.
We skipped the starters and went straight to the mains. I opted for a Calzone. When it came out it was just what I wanted. It was tasty and there was lots of cheese so it was perfect. It came with a spicy sauce and while I couldn’t finish it that night, I took the rest home and had it for dinner the next night as well.
The wine and food was reasonably priced — for a large glass of white wine and the pizza I paid around £17. I heard the Christmas cocktails were good but unfortunately I didn’t get one myself L

Uniquely styled and perfectly presented, Zizzi is individually Italian. It’s the sort of place you can come for a quiet meal out or a group of people before heading to one of the many bars and pubs nearby.
Pizzas are a amazing amalgamation of flavours and colour while the pasta dishes are lip smackingly delicious.
If families are your thing they also cater for little ones and have plenty of crayons and colouring sheets to keep them occupied until the food arrives.
Importantly, the bill won’t hit you too hard in the pocket. Our two course meal for two with drinks came to under £40.
