This upmarket buffet style restaurant is amazing for hardcore meat eaters and for £25 a head that isn’t bad going. The décor is beautiful and situated in the cube building overlooking the canals. The quality of the meats are amazing and taste fantastic. The buffet cart in the middle of the restaurant offers other meals, salads, cheeses, bread and condiment’s. Also its great for vegetarians at £18 a head you get to help yourself to items on the cart and a waiter will bring you a specially prepared halumomi, pepper, onion and pineapple BBQ skewer. And also grilled cheese tomato’s. Unlimited! Also the cocktails are a must have addition. I can’t fault anything here I’ve eaten here with a lot of different groups of friends over the years and every time I’ve come back loving it more and more. If you do have room left for desert definaitly go for it as they look delicious but very heavy after such a big meal. Having said that j can’t wait to return again.

Really great service. A well presented and choice full salad selection. But don’t overdo it too much! As soon as the neat selection is out that’s it. This was my 2nd time and was with friends and we all had an enjoyable evening. Tasty hot food selection to your table and great cocktails. Sadly this time no room desert but this certainly is not last time I’ll visit. Just need meat lover volunteers to bring along to my next visit.

After trying a few places in the mailbox and being told the waiting time for a table will be 2 hours! We thought we would give this place a try mainly because I had heard a few good words said about it and that we saw tables clearly free from the window! So we knew no waiting time thank god! Upon entering your greeted warmly and shown to a table then they ask if you have been before and if the answer is no they explain how the whole thing works. Firstly the buffet where all the salad and starters is pointed out and then your given a circle Brazil flag with a green background on one side and a red background on the other side. Once you have got your salad and head back to your table you are then approached by the meat men and if your card is on green that’s their signal that you want some meat. I think there’s 16 different types of meat floating around the place but you won’t want all 16 types on your plate at once or if fancy a challenge go for it! The good thing their not shy with the portions they dish out and if you feel full or just need to make room on your plate all you do if turn the card over to red and no one approaches you. It’s £25 for the meal with is really good considering all the meat you can stuff your face with! Will defiantly be visiting this restaurant again all the staff are really friendly and the food is very very yummy but if your a veggie it might not be the place for you

The environment is very nice and has an upscale feel. The salad bar that has much more than salad is really nice and has good selections and the food quality is good. I guess there are several reasons for three stars instead of four: (1) The main thing people come for is the meat and it was average tasting. Brazilian ad well as American BBQ I have had at other restaurants was better. (2) The atmosphere although physically is very nice is chaotic due to constant activity of the customers heading to the salad bar and the servers bringing the meat. Its hard to relax. (3) There is a forced 10 percent service charge ie tip. I am American and used to tipping, but the idea is better service, more tip. Poorer service, less tip. And in Europe, tipping is less popular, so curious why the service charge is added. Its worth a try, and I would rate 3.5ish. In summary, I like the décor, it feels modern and higher quality, the salad bar is good, the meat is average but remember there is a 10% service charge.

A new job, time to celebrate. And where better than my favourite Brazilian restaurant in the centre of Birmingham, Ridizio Rico. Located in the Cube, this was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint. A quick explanation for anyone who hasn’t been; first of all is a visit to the amazing salad bar — actually a vista of starters and side dishes, salad is only a tiny fraction of what’s on offer. You then take your seat and over the next two hours or so waiters arrive at your table with a variety of cooked meats on massive skewers that they then carve straight onto your plate. Chicken, beef, lamb, pork, sausage — no less than 16 different varieties. If you need a breather just flip your token from yes to no, and the waiters will pass you by. Today’s highlights were the succulent sirloin steak, rare roast beef, lamb chops in a herb crust and coarse pork and garlic sausage. I pigged out and came away very satisfied. Service was quick and friendly. It’s not the cheapest option but you would be hard pressed to find another venue where you can eat your own body weight in beef at a similar price.

Having heard so many people talking about this steak place with red & green cards in the cube, I was intrigued to find out if it was all hype or if I was indeed missing out? I’m happy to say the quality of the food certainly matched up to the hype! @£25 per person I don’t think it’s bad value for what you can have; the salad/side dishes buffet cart was a little limited on our visit but when you add that to the star attraction of ‘the meats’ there was plenty to choose from and more than enough to fill you to burst(remember to turn the card things!) –You would probably pay more for a starter & main course at some restaurants. –Drinks were average prices for Bham. –Service was good, if not a little slow & disjointed at times. However I presume they expect dinners not to opt for desserts as the choice is bland & limited and judging from the display items far from value for money! The one gripe which has in my review cost it a star is the added service charge to the bill. I regularly tip when I eat in restaurants, but it is I feel my choice not my obligation! With larger parties I understand it is now common practice to add 10% but for a couple of casual diners I feel it is unjustified!

We have been wanting to try this place since its opening, and I’m so glad we eventually got there, this is a meat eaters restaurant, even though the vegetarian option is available it’s really a meat lovers venue. It’s a little different to regular restaurants, as in you go to the«salad bar» which has a vast array of veggies, salads, pasta dishes, cheeses, coleslaw type sides etc then you sit at your table and the waiters wander around the restaurant with all the meats on large skewers and just carve off what you want, pork, lamb, beef, fillet steak, chicken, sausages and gammon all offered, the sausages are amazing, the fillet steak was divine and the salad selection was massive, don’t think its a few limp leaves and a tomato, it’s so much more .don’t confuse it with those all you can eat salad bars at pizza places. The drinks menu also offers cocktails which made me very happy as I had a margarita rather than a dessert, the desserts are a bit sickly sweet for me, but I guess the sweet toothed will love them, the waitress fetches a tray of desserts to show you what is on offer, a lovely idea, but they looked a bit stale by late afternoon(we visited about 3pm) but hubby had the chocolate cake and it looked so much better than we had been shown, though as I said, very sweet, sickly sweet. It has a great atmosphere, lovely staff, smashing food, it’s great for large groups, families or couples. Considering the quantity of food offered and the quality of the meats, I’d call this a great value destination, the quality of the salads and veggies is amazing but I think the veggies option is pricey conspired to what the meat eaters had. Looking forward to our next visit

At £25 it offers the meat lover among you a vast choice of non stop meat. From lamb to beef it just keeps on coming until you give up. Great place for a big group get together. Wear loose fitting trousers lol

If you are looking to die an early Death from eating to much in a man V food style. You need to come here. If you are on a calorie controlled diet… Not so much. Plus I am not sure how you would point the great big slabs of meat you get given. My boss took me here last month as part of a work day out. I was apart of a large group and was not looking forward to an all you can eat place. The price had me think that we were about to be ripped off. The group and I got the the restaurant about 7and we were an hour early. The staff asked if we would like to seat down now but we wanted to have a drink in the bar first. The services in the bar was good have the range was expressive, with drink I have only here of and never seen. We seat down for dinner and the waitress asked us if we had been here before and explained how thing worked.(restaurant are so different to sit there and eat food) Basically you have a red green card. Green you would like more. Red no thank you. We started, OMG I have never had so much meat in my life and all was cooked to perfection. The buffet salad bar is massive also. You could stick to that but I don’t think the hole experience would be the same. I will be going here again as the meat was so good. By the time I had finished eating, I was sweating grave. O and remember what the card is for. Good luck to anyone that is on a diet that goes here but it will be well worth it

When I heard people talk about this restaurant, I was quite skeptical. When you usually visit buffet restaurants, there’s a trade off between quality and quantity. You’ll get fed, but it isn’t usually amazing food. This place is very different! There’s a salad bar with a selection of veggie dishes and some cold meats, but the real treat is the meat they bring around to your table until you’re ready to explode. The stuff is continually being cooked fresh on skewers, and brought straight out to the hungry people. It’s all cooked to perfection too! There’s a great selection of meats parading around, chicken wings, beef ribs, lamb chops, various sausages(not your usual ground meat, these have hugged chunks of diced meat in them) ham, several cuts of beef cooked in different ways. I’ve been twice now with friends, and both times it’s been great. The staff are attentive and friendly, and everything has been fresh and delicious. It’s not cheap, but they do have some deals on Groupon from time to time which makes it fantastic value for money. I’d definitely recommend this to all of my carnivorous friends!

We had our Office Christmas meal at this Brazilian restaurant. The whole experience was mediocre. I don’t think they can accommodate very large groups(50+). The salad bar was ok but not a great selection — Unlimited top ups. The meat was brought out on skewers to your table and as the waiter carved the meat you picked it off using tongs. Chicken wings, gammon, beef and lamb. They also served hot garlic bread and chicken hearts. The service wasn’t the greatest, the waiters would run out of one meat and come back with another, often forgetting what you asked for. What I did eat was very nice and cooked to perfection. Rare meat as well as well done. This is a carnivore’s treat — all you can eat meat. I think I would try it again, however go in a smaller crowd. Note — Expensive drinks — £4.70 a beer and over £7.00 a cocktail.

Have tried many other Brazilian churrascarias and this was by far the least impressive. The salad bar has got a very poor selection. The meat served at the table was pretty low quality, and with little choice. All of the beef available was cooked within an inch of its life so if you like your meat even slightly rare you;ve got no chance. Service was OK but certainly nothing special. On the whole it was pretty disappointing compared to other similar restaurants.
