This one is based just off New street Station Birmingham, With two floors and often very full but you could probably find a seat without too much waiting. It’s in a good location and nice place to meet with friends for a coffee.

I usually go to this place more in the mornings before catching my connecting train to work. Each time I’ve gone the guy that always seems to be there greets me, last I checked he remembered my name and my order. I think I can be classed as a regular. As this franchise goes, this is one of the best stores I’ve been in. My order; to my knowledge has not been made wrong and I even though it can get terrifically busy during morning coffee rush hour, when I’m lined up at the end with all the other corporate zombies(before coffee) it never really feels that long. Staff are pleasant and do at least give the impression they like their jobs. There is seating on both levels but last I checked the basement had poor signal and of course no view. They’ve put in some seating by the windows upstairs so you can gaze out — or gawk at passers by whilst sipping on your elaborately named drink. Toilets are downstairs but there aren’t really enough for the amount of people that ‘best’ here as opposed to take out. Now you may notice that someone with my face has already reviewed here awhile ago, that is in fact me. Don’t have the impression I’m a Starbucks groupie; I forgot my password. Good day!

First of all, got a seat. Bonus. Secondly, barista who took the ores was quick, concise, pleasant and also knowledgeable. Which my last experience of another Starbucks did not have. Had my free drink which was all the better. Had a skinny pumpkin spiced latte, no cream. Delicious, hot, perfectly balanced. Once again maid by someone who knew there way around the espresso machine. Happy.

I sometimes go to this Starbucks when waiting for friends, it’s close to New Street Station. Always have good experience here and quick service. Keep in mind Starbucks is pricey, nearly £5 on a drink and cookie of slice of cake: O It does get noisy but that’s most coffee shops in town. There is a nice underground seating area. It’s normally less noisy downstairs and filled with people who want browse internet or just do some work on their devices.

Well I am normally not one for cooperate spots — but I have not really found any non-corporate coffee alternatives in Birmingham. This coffee bar in central Birmingham on the New Street pedestrian mall is always a welcome stop in the morning. The staff are great and go out of their way to make you feel appreciated as a regular customer as well as on your first trip. I order the very American«red-eye» which is a filter coffee with a shot if espresso and for the moment the staff are putting up with my «strange» drink order for the UK along with my special request for pouring cream in my coffee. Beyond that, I find in general — despite what many people in Europe say about Starbucks being a place for big sweet American style milkshake-esque lattés — that they have a consistently high quality filter coffee and espresso, which are fresh, strong, and flavorful. Until I find a locally grown spot that matches the quality here, I’ll keep coming back. Plus they let you pay with your iPhone and as a geek I can’t resist…

Great central location for coffee during shopping trip Had a massive caramel latte that I thoroughly enjoyed served quickly to me by friendly and efficient staff. Downstairs seating is a big draw to this coffee shop and its quiet and spacious. Noticed that there were a few people there alone working or reading a book.

The wifi is a bit slow downstairs. Take a seat near a sunny window.
