I stayed in the Britannia on a Friday night. The hotel is located on a high street amongst shops, close to all the Brighton attractions. Check-​in was friendly and quick, and my room was a very good size with a good power shower in the bathroom. Freeview TV (with a good reception) and free Wi-​Fi (with good connectivity) was available.
The double bed was comfortable. The only concern was that my room was on street level next to a pedestrian path. The windows were frosted and blinds were provided, thought it was initially disconcerting that I could see people walking past and they could presumably see my outline too!
A voucher was provided for a lovely full cooked breakfast at a Café opposite the hotel.
Given the price and the location, this hotel is a hidden bargain which I’d recommend to others staying in Brighton!
