This one has 50 pence for a half hour of Internet, which is quite the deal. On many of the computers, the previous users’ pages are still open, so you may have to do some window closing before you start, and close PDF versions of resumes, Facebook pages, and, in my case, JPEG’s of extraordinary chickens (kudos to the person who searched for those, those chickens are truly extraordinary). And, also, on some computers, Mozilla Firefox has some problems and you’ll be forced to use Internet Explorer. If you’re an Internet Explorer user, then that’s no problem. But if you’re an Internet Explorer user, why aren’t you using Mozilla Firefox? It’s less taxing on your system’s memory.
In addition to providing Internet and printing options (10 pence per page), this shop provides SIM cards and unlocking services for your phone. The staff members are quite the experts when it comes to this, and this is reflected when they rush through the process. The time between my purchasing a UK SIM card, paying for it, installing it, and the rep telling me I could top up my phone in a news stand took less than a minute. A good place to go if you’re interested in quick, no nonsense and to the point Internet and cell phone services.
