La Piazza 1

I’ve been to La Piazza 1 a couple of times since moving to Fishponds 3 months ago. It’s situated just off the high street on the corner of The Straights.
What you get is a great value for money Italian restaurant with excellent service.
I wouldn’t call it fine dining but it’s not trying to be and you can not go wrong for the price.
The last time I went was a Tuesday night and the fact that it was tricky to find a table for 4 of us at 6:30pm on a Tuesday speaks volumes for how popular it is. We did have to wait a little while for food on that occasion but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt judging by the good service normally received and how busy it was that night.
Food wise you can expect all of the usual suspects on the Italian menu along with fish and steak which as previously mentioned are all very reasonable in price.
La Piaza 1 also appears to cater well for kids judging by the number of family’s eating there.
All in all, its a great value restaurant if you fancy a last minute bite to eat out or i’d also recommend it as a good starting point to eat before hitting a pub or 2 on the weekend.
