I stumbled upon this place, as I we were hungry and The Porto Lounge was heaving and the steamy crampt interior didn’t look an apealing place to stand and wait. Located a couple of doors down from said lounge in Fishponds. I have managed to bypass this place and gone elsewhere for years ! And what a mistake that was, this place is great ! A stylish interior awaits as does excellent and attentive service. We were in time to benefit from the 2 courses for 8.95. I opted for Calamari, something I’ve both enjoyed and hated in restaurants before. But these guys nailed it ! Perfect 10 outta 10 fresh tasting and melt in your mouth texture. She had some meat balls in a tomatoe sauce which was also very enjoyable. For mains I opted for a Calzone folded affair. Again it were delicious as was me pinot grigio which was getting better with every sip. She had a pizza with rocket, basil and hard cheese. This was good but not in the same league as the Calzone which was excellent. I will be returning. Because although this Italian may not be the very best in Bristol it certainly is some of the very best value. And they really seem to care and put lot of love in there cooking.
