I have been in here a few times in the last few months, for food and drinks. It is a lovely old pub in a nice quiet side street in central Canterbury. Everything I have eaten on their menu has been really good, and in the summer it’s great to sit out in the garden.

Cozy ‘local’ type pub off the beaten track (and thus not completely swamped with American and japanese tourists) with a beautiful garden (the longest beer garden in Canterbury) and an impressive selection of innovative dishes, mostly of the British nouvelle cuisine type. Good selection of beers and proper ales with friendly service and punter-friendly prices. Absolutely recommended.
