Attend for a pre theatre meal on saturday 14th may. Items on the menu were not available such as pizza which meant that the vegitarian in our party had not thing they could eat as a main meal. The website says they catered for vegitarians - clearly not !
The restaurant wasnt very busy and after a short time we had a full on 'singing waiter' which meant our waiter count hear our order !
Ours starters came and were poor quality. After waiting 45 mins we had to ask 3 times where our our main courses were. Each time the waiter shrugged and said the 'chef is working'. They arrived after 55 mins and were very poor quality. Two steaks that were requested were cooked to well done not medium rare - the side dishes were badly cooked frozen chips. Some side orders did not arrive until halfway through our meal despite request to the waiter. The chicken dishes were dry and tasteless . At no time were we approached to see if we were happy with our meals
I appoached our waiter at the till to pay our bill and make a complaint . He was uninterested and told me if i had an issue with the food i should speak with the chef !! At the same time i witnessed the lady behind the bar insulting a customer who had asked for her drink order !!
There seem to be a lot of complaints about the restaurant on the same day we visited - Please do not waste your time and money at this place.

The staff is great but the food is bland. Instead of offering 10 entrees and cooking them well, they offer a multitude of choices from Wales, Italy and Spain, and all that we tasted were unremarkable. The décor reminds me of a restaurant from the 1980’s and the food is not satisfactory to customers with any dining experience of competent kitchen skills.

Terrible food. Only positive thing about Demiro’s restaurant were the accommodating wait staff, which is how they managed to get a star. The quality of the steak I ordered was disgusting and obviously not fresh. I asked for rare and it was well done(destroyed). So, I sent it back and when the new steak came out, it was rare, but the steak tasted and smelt old. I left half of it and only ate the other half because by this point I was starving. My friend ordered the same steak and couldn’t stomach it. Usually, when customers aren’t happy with their food, they aren’t charged, but we were fully charged, which was disappointing. I will never ever eat here again.

This restaurant was full when we pulled up, but after a moment, it was clear that it was full because of the entertainment and not the food. The only thing good about the food was the ONE pizza we ordered as a starter to share. The mains: the rack of lamb was the only thing that was remotely tasteful. The spaghetti was more like something out of a can, and, last but not least, the steak. Very badly prepared and poor quality of beef. We sent the steak back because we ordered it rare but it came out fully done!!! Poor standard and over priced. Sadly, not coming back to this restaurant.

We chose this restaurant by looking at the menu at the door. The dishes looked delicious and unique, so we were willing to pay a little more. Sadly, the food wasn’t as tasty as the menu descriptions suggested. My pasta dish was good, but not as great as I expected. The menu described chicken stuffed with fresh mozzarella and basil and instead I found a scant amount of a bland pesto-type paste. The pasta and sauce was alright, but it tasted like it was lacking an important ingredient, not sure what that would be. My husband’s steak was similar to something you would find in the discount bin at a convenient store. The steak was very thin and somewhat leathery, not worth the £15; though the chips were excellent. What appeared to be a high class place in passing turned out to be disappointing. Although, I will add, the service was at par. Overall, there are many other choices in the area and you can probably find a better place to dine.

Demiro’s is a Mediterranean restaurant in Cardiff’s fashionable Cardiff Bay area. With a chocolate fountain running constantly, your taste buds will perk up the second you take your seats, but if that doesn’t do it for you, the menu certainly will. Boasting a diverse variety of food ranging from tender lamb to fresh mussels to creamy pasta, DeMiro’s offers up the best of Welsh, Spanish and Italian cuisine for your dining pleasure. The leather and wooden interior gives it a classy feel, made all the more authentic by the overall décor of the restaurant. Service is good and the people at DeMiro’s really go out of their way to ensure their customers have an enjoyable evening, with singing waiters and mid-dinner entertainment a regular feature to the restaurant. Anywhere you can get a great meal and a live soundtrack gets a thumbs up from me.

Fancy a night out… Good food… Great entertainment… Look no further! I remember the day I first noticed Demiros in the bay. I was walking past and saw a crowd gathered around the entrance. After a closer look I saw a dear old man dressed in a suit and dicky bow singing away. The next time I walked past I saw a mexican themed singer belting out some tracks to the onlooking amused diners. As I walked past he grabbed my hand, span me round and gave me a wink. Ha Ha it was so funny. This was enough to tempt me in and sample the menu. I must say I wasn’t disappointed. The food was very tasty, reasonably priced and was topped off with service with a smile. My top tip for this restaurant is if it is a nice evening request a table outside so you can soak up the vibrant atmosphere. It really will leave you smiling from ear to ear!

Demiros try their best to drum up business to beat the competition from the ever pervasive chain restaurants that are becoming increasingly present in Cardiff Bay and I’m pleased to say they seem to be winning. They often put on a singer outside for the entertainment of their customers and passers by. Last bank holiday they had a Shirley Bassey look-a-like doing a passable impression to the joy of the congregated crowd. The food is also good fair but like Tiffany i had pizza which is hardly a challenge for and Italian restaurant. So next time you go to the bay before you consider Pizza Express, which you can go to anywhere in the country try Demiros as they are a local business and worth of the support as they put in quite a bit of effort.

Divine and utterly delicious! The most unique restaurant in Cardiff Bay! If you go to this place on a Friday night then maybe, just maybe you will hear some Opera being sang by the waiters! I did not believe my eyes and ears when I heard some Opera music in this restaurant being sung. I just assumed it was a CD or the radio, but the way certain men were acting it looked like they were the ones singing. Of course mum, dad and I continuously spent the evening debating over the fact as to whether or not they really where singing. Their voices certainly stunned the atmosphere when they did sing and it was difficult to talk. This may not happen in all of the Dominoes chains, but it depends on what day you go as to what your surroundings maybe like when you eat a meal. When I went there with a friend not too long ago, it was a week day and we eat down there during the day. It was very much quieter and was much more of a relaxing environment to eat within. I love its decorations and the food is just to die for. I couldn’t eat all of my pizza so I didn’t have a pudding, but from what I could see the chocolate pudding cake looks divine. The place is a little pricey, but the service is good and the food is excellent! I recommend it to all…

Demiro’s appears to be suffering from an identity crisis — with a range of Welsh, Italian and Spanish dishes, it could possibly classify itself as a jack of all trades, but a master of none. The food is mediocre for what you pay for, but what ruins Demiro’s for me is the outlandish and sadly tacky décor, complete with chocolate fountain and garish retro adornments. It reminds me of a Roman tourist-trap haunt that guide books often advise you to avoid — saying that, it’s always crammed full of people, so they must be doing something right.

A boyfriend of mine once took me here for Valentine’s day and after that I was tempted to never visit again. We were crammed in, surrounded by couples who looked like they really didn’t want to be talking to each other and there were so many red heart shape balloons I was nearly sick. Said Boyfriend did not last much longer after that. Anyway I did eventually go back in the summer because it’s outside section just made me feel like I was on holiday. The Welsh/Spanish/Italian menu is interesting and your guaranteed to be torn between at least two dishes. I went for fish and was really happy with what I got. Not the cheapest place to eat in the bay but not ridiculously overpriced either and good for a quality meal. Our waiter was also really fun and helpful.

Not to be confused with Domino’s, this is an interesting mix of Welsh, Spanish and Italian. On a summer’s day its outdoor area is always packed out and you could almost believe that you were in the Mediterranean, especially with the waiters lurking outside to drag you in. Inside the tables are crammed in and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired, especially when Jose and his band Mexican appear from the woodworks! Fortunately though I find the food here to be really good. I had a Spanish cheesy– chicken dish, while my friend opted for some exotic looking seafood medley and my lovely had a pizza that turned out to be massive. All our dishes cost around about a tenner, and we may have been temped to go for a chocolate fountain desert if some dirty child hadn’t been putting their fingers in it just before pudding time!

I’m not entirely sure what Demirios classes itself as because the menu has a little bit of everything. It offers a taste of Wales, Spain and Italy, so get your head around that if you can. I’ve only sampled the taste of Italy the few times I’ve been there because it’s hard to go wrong with pizza and pasta and to their credit it’s been fantastic. The setting is kind of like an 80s Italian, pseudo flashy but bordering on tacky. During the summer they have a rotund man with a keyboard and mini pa system singing bizarre Italian/Spanish/Welsh hits outside the restaurant, It’s almost ridiculous but I love it. It must be a hit with the A crowd because last time I went I saw Rhys Ifans and his entourage ordering a huge amount of champagne for the beautiful hangers on. Sadly though, I was not invited.

A lovely little restaurant offering a Welsh, Spanish and Italian menus. There could have been a little more choice of vegetarian food — there wasn’t any offered on the Welsh menu. However, staff were welcoming and the pizzas are the best i’ve tasted. There was live music too. The only downside was the cleanliness — there were food splatters on the wall, food on the floor and the glasses we drank out of felt grimy. The cutlery was bent, table sticky and the toilets didnt smell too fresh either. I dont think i’d go there again as there are many more places in the bay offering comparably priced menus. It took an age to get the bill too. A garlic bread, 2 pizzas and a bottle of wine were priced at £40. Quite pricey all things considering.
