Super Chinese Takeaway is a reasonably unremarkable Cantonese style Chinese takeaway situated on the beleaguered Clifton Street where Roath meets Splott. That’s not to say that it isn’t good, it’s just that there’s nothing out of the ordinary about it. And, in a lot of respects, this is a good thing! It means that it’s consistent, and so it can be relied upon to make your time-honoured favourites just how you like them. They have a fair sized menu, and so there’s something for everyone. I can’t remember quite how much they charge for delivery, but it’s something like £1.00 to £1.50, and the area that they cover is reasonably broad. If you spend around the £20.00 mark it’s well worth asking them to knock the delivery charge off, or to throw in some prawn crackers, or a free starter… the harder you haggle, the more likely they are to oblige. Collections are tricky these days if you are calling in to collect, especially if you are driving from the direction of Splott. The new one way system that the council implemented about a year ago is wreaking all kinds of havoc in the area! They also offer a selection of Thai dishes which are worth trying.
