Yakitori #1 serves modern Japanese cuisine in the heart of Cardiff Bay.
The menu here features Sushi, Sashimi, Maki Rolls and (among other things) Temaki and Hosomaki. Which after a quick stint on Google I can share, is a type of Sushi Roll.
Their kitchen is open plan and the service is speedy so no need to awkwardly stare at the wait staff — you’ll know when your food is ready. What’s more if you opt to takeaway the prices of some of the dishes are slightly cheaper! When last in Cardiff Bay, when I had the weather on side (I know, a rarity). I ordered the Chicken Stir Fry to Takeaway: Wok Fried Chicken, Bok Choi, Spring Onions, Peppers and Fried Shallots — with the additional request of some chilli’s. I then took the short walk to the Welsh Assembly (Senedd) building and took a seat opposite the waterfront.
Perfect distraction for a busy working day!
