Absolutely disgusting chips! Very disappointing fish, dried, crusty and cooked in stale rancid fat.
I visited this place on recommendation of a local taxi driver, but never again. It seems that there is not a single decent chip shop in Chelmsford. If you love fish and chips as I do, go to Oldhams in Southend or Peggoty’s in Hadleigh.
Hygienic, fresh and not coated in any unhealthy saturated animal fat!

Have now used this Fish and Chippy several times. The staff are excellent and the product they serve is equally so. Lovely chips and the crunchiest crispest batter you could hope for encasing well cooked fish. Good selection of fish and substantial portions to satisfy the hungriest of people. IMHO the best Fish and Chips in Chelmsford.
