Georgian Hotel

I was here for a birthday celebration, a three course meal for about 30 people. So this review is based on that, rather than any of the other hotel facilities.
Naturally, with this many people, a few arrived a bit late. Ok, nearly an hour late. This didn’t seem to phase the hotel staff. Perhaps because we had a separate function room rather than just a table booked in the main restaurant. Once we were all finally seated, wine was poured and orders were taken very quickly and we didn’t need to wait long for the food to be served.
I ordered the tomato and basil soup, the herb crusted salmon and the winter fruits cheese cake. All were delicious, although the soup came with vanilla cream which some people loved but I just thought was a bit odd. I think if I were to order it again I’d probably ask them to hold the vanilla cream.
After the meal we were served tea and coffee and given plenty of time to relax and chat and finish our drinks. I’d definitely consider organising a party of this kind here in the future.

Bedroom was small with dated, tired décor. Room was frozen so we were given an oil heater which didnt make any difference. Bathroom sink was dirty. When we were checking out we were asked if we enjoyed our stay and when i said i wasnt happy with the room the reply i got was «sorry to hear that» but didnt enquire why. Wouldnt stay here again.

Great for a wee fly pint good food good company, nae arseholes.
