Embassy Oriental Buffet

The family love this restaurant, large selection of food, never rushed to eat and get out, staff are friendly and always ready to clear the dirty plates and replenish food. The only thing people must be aware of is that they only accept cash for payment!

It’s a place I hesistate to recommend, now as it’s becoming so damn popular. and deservedly so had to queue on the stairs for about five minutes to get a table for five, today
It can be a little noisy when full, so not necessarily the cosy bistro environment for a first date but the food is seriously, seriously good, tasty, replenished often and satisfying you’d struggle to find a better bang-​for-​your-​buck this side of Ecuador or Kerala
I’d give it six stars if it threw in more chef-​specials like the Malaysian Beef Rendang I had in a similar place in Norwich but the Embassy’s Peppered Pork dish rivals it. there’s even Hash Browns, Foo Yung and Onion Rings for the late risers ;)
A generous range of healthy and non-​healthy indulgent afters, free tooth-​picks and a musical soundtrack that ranges from power ballads to Brazilian Jazz Long live the Chinese Embassy in Britain’s oldest town! and similar establishments which are popping up everywhere worth introducing a weekly 2 hour lunch day for!
Eight quid in the evening more dishes, more king prawns, lamb, teriyaki, duck, chocolate fountain etc it’s an affordable paradise in these challenging times! Staff are nice and sincere
