Cosmo Croydon

Okay, so I got on the hype, and after being hounded buy friends, family and my partner, decided to go and check out what the big deal was! Well, I can tell you, it was a big deal! After cramming your car into the busy car park and race to the queue, you have a ponder about what you are about to indulge and can’t really mentally prepare! You get ushered in and given a ticket as if your in nightclub up west end, actually, the décor is that of a nightclub feel too! Ha ha
The food variety is AMAZING. Thai, Chinese, Italian, British, Indian, mediterranean, you name it, they’ve got it. Salad and starter counters, food counters and made to order counters, desert area including a fruit, cakes, pastries, and a chocolate fountain. They have two drinks bars serving a full bar. Any age and groups are welcome. The buffet is reasonably priced for the quantity and quality. You’ll never get bored due to choice but you will get stuffed, and won’t be able to move. Glutton really does take over!
I will come back here again, it’s a bit of distance for me, so more locations of this fine eatery would be much appreciated.

Weekends and evening is a must for booking a table. Cosmos gets very busy, the Maximum stay is 2hours.
Cosmos has an amazing choice of dishes from a number of different countries. They also have a chocolate fountain with fruits and marshmallows which children tend to go to first when going for dessert.
You have so much choice when dining at cosmos Hot food, Spicy foods you name it, its there… all for £15 Buffet

a great find. we went at lunchtime so £7.99 not as much choice as the evening menu ie no sushi, dimsum etc but at least 100 dishes. thai, indian and chinese. very tasty cuisine, and then a dessert station. ice cream, fruit or cakes. apprently later there is lots more choice meals and desserts aswell as a chocolate fountain. They way i see it would i spend £4.99 on a macdonalds or £7.99 for a 3 course eat as much as u like??? its not brain science
highly recommended and the décor at the front makes it looks very nice

i feel fat.
my boyfriend bullied me into going to cosmo for lunch because i had bullied him into going to croydon.
there is so much food here, dear god. i really think having an hour and a half time limit (which doesn’t seem to be advertised anywhere?) is sensible because i would actually have friends who would make themselves sick eating here. we were fairly restrained — but even still, we ate a lot more than we normally would eat!
some of the food options are really good for a buffet — like the teppenyaki, the sushi, sashimi and dim sum, plus the massive juicy prawns and other seafood such as lobster, crabs, mussels etc. there is a lot of other standard buffet fare, but most of what i tasted was satisfactory. i pretty much felt guilty eating every single mouthful though!
the dessert bar was a beaut. mini offerings of joyful things such as carrot cake (yum) and other things — plus normal sized gateaux, eton mess, profiteroles etc, a full fridge of ice cream, fruit offerings, bowls of sweets, mini desserts in tiny cups with tiny spoons and a white and milk chocolate fountain. YUM!
£15.99 offers pretty good value. the staff were quick, friendly and helpful. the inside was kept clean and it looked like the food was constantly being topped up and counters wiped down.
i don’t feel like i can give a buffet place any more than 3 stars in good conscience because i find the gluttony of buffets quite wrong, but occasionally it happens, and that’s okay. if i have to eat somewhere like this, it may as well be in cosmo!

It doesn’t start off well, sharing a rather drab foyer and staircase with what I believe is a gym, and forcing the customer through a ticket inspection — not the best welcome. But the food is surprisingly good, ranging from the standard (but tasty) array of Indian and Thai curries to sushi and sashimi. I didn’t even try to count the number of dishes on offer but I can well believe that the advertised count of 300 is accurate, and the large majority were very pleasant — so much so that I didn’t have enough room in my rather capacious stomach to try everything.
It’s not perfect — the Italian and British offerings seemed rather token (not that I was interested in those anyway, but some of you might be disappointed) and the lobster ordered by my wife didn’t show up. But I’m not aware of anywhere better to stuff yourself to the gills on good food for £15. Don’t eat anything else that day and be sure to get your money’s worth!

£15 all you can eat buffet! There is a wide variety of food including Japanese, Chinese, Indian and European foods. You can even get small pieces of lobster too. I went for dim sum, chips, rice, pork tonkatsu, japanese grill food (cooked fresh!), and some other stuff including fresh fruits, deserts, etc. The variety is just amazing. and the food is OK. The price does not include drinks but you can always order tap water if you are on a budget! A fun and nice place to be… because everybody is eating and everybody seems happy with the service and good!

A lots of my friends kept telling about Cosmo! So a friend of mine had their birthday dinner here, Well! well! O.M.G!!! What a place! Massive restaurant holds up 25,000 people and has 300 dishes of asian cuisine.10 live cooking stations and dessert to die for… i had to ask them!!!
you pay one price £15 and eat as much as you like Sooo! lucky for me my belly was ready to be full. so i started. Drinks you have to pay at the bar but not bad prices!
At the end of the 2 hours my friends had to roll me out of the restaurants. well worth the money… ;-)
Prepare to be amazed!!!
