It’s ok, just. It’s air conditioned and large enough to be showing all the big films. Parking is a nightmare, but if you do manage to find a space, then it is free. The seats are bookable online, so you know exactly where you will be sitting, but they are not all that comfy and are quite expensive. There is no usher to keep annoying kids in check and the last film I went to see was ruined by a huge group of blatantly underage kids yelling at the screen, laughing and throwing popcorn at each other. So really, I think I am just grumpy, getting old and not really into public entertainment that relies on a couple of hundred people being quiet. It’s probably not fair to blame Vue for that, so I am going to give them three starts for trying, and dock them two stars for not trying hard enough.

Whilst this may be a cinema based in Croydon, don’t let that fool you into thinking this is a flea-pit that should be given a wide berth. This is a clean and relatively quiet environment in which to watch a film. I won’t lie and say there is never anyone making noise, however, they do act as if they are aware it will be frowned on and the noise is usually short-lived as a result. Ultimately, people who pay higher prices to see a movie are usually there to watch them, not interupt them.
