This is a family freindly pub with a great atmospher i highly recommend visiting the pub as you will only really know how good it is if you visit it

This traditional pub looks nothing much on the outside but it has a top class food menu.
It serves the usual drinks but the food is freshly cooked, substantial meals cooked by highly trained chefs. It serves the standard pub fare but adds quality fish and meat dishes (the home-​made burgers are a must!)
I have eaten here at lunch and in the evening and have been very impressed with the range and very high quality of the food.
it is definately worth the drive out to Shardlow for, although it does not serve food on sundays.

The Navigation is a pub /​restaurant with no fancy décor or uniforms but has the best food.
Everything is made from scratch and cooked fresh. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are friendly.
The pub is run by a couple who obviously care a lot about the food and ale they serve and have a good reputation in the local area.
A great place to go on a sunday for a roast dinner and if you cant decide what to have they do a mixed roast so can have a bit of everything. A special favourite of mine is the steak, cheese and bacon burger. Its huge and is cooked as steak should be.
They are a pub and have a pool table and a tv which usually has the latest sport on also this is away fromt he food area so you wont be distracted.
There are other pubs very close toward the canal and there are lots of nice walks in the area.
