I’ve not eaten in the restaurant here but I’ve used their take away service many times. The chips are fantastic and haddock is always moist(in my experience!) One thing in their favour is their efficiency with a long queue. Everyone knows their job behind the counter and they are trained to perfection!

If fresh fish is your dish this place is one of the best in North Norfolk. Inside it’s a plain and simple format; good seating, big windows looking out, and two eating areas In the evenings book to avoid disappointment and at the weekends or high season even a breakfast table is a booking must. 90% of the fish served I reckon is locally caught, you choose and then decide how you want it cooked; poached, steamed, pan fried etc then pick your sauce! Very DIY, but a novel approach, the local shell fish and crabs are also a must. Starters are few, but you can cobble together one of your own with a bit of imagination, try a plate of local samphire a.k.a poor man’s asparagus with bread and lemon juice for dressing, you’ll either love it or hate it, but like Welsh lava bread it has to be tried! Check out their website for opening times and if you fancy a bed for the night they offer rooms above on a BB basis, imagine that for a tale yah we had a great weekend, stayed above a fish shop!
